Deletion

I don't personally think that this image (or the other three that were put up for deletion: Image:MW DwemerWeapons.jpg, [[:Image:MW IronWeapons.jpg]], [[:Image:MW SilverWeapons.jpg]]) is suitable for deletion. I find the format of these images more useful than the replacements, in particular because I can easily see the weapons against the black background. Against a mottled brown background, the weapons nearly blend in -- especially, for example, the shafts of the chitin arrows, or the chitin bow. I think the mottle background also creates an unsettling distraction; whenever I try to look at a weapon detail I find myself trying to refocus to "fix" the blurry background.

In addition, as explained in more detail here, when possible I'd prefer to see replacement images uploaded using the same name as the original images, so that it's not necessary to delete the original image, losing the contribution history as well as the image itself. --Nephele^Talk 00:59, 12 January 2009 (EST)

Deletion 2

Having just re-proposed the images from the above section for deletion, I've got to say that I agree (partly) with Nephele here. The image-on-black images are much clearer, but they fly in the face of everything we've done in images over the past few years. The ones proposed for deletion are also woefully incomplete in terms of content - most of them miss out most of the weapons.

I'm going to suggest the deletions I've proposed be carried out - they haven't been used for years, after all - but we mark the others for cleanup to make them a bit clearer. Darker backgrounds, for instance. rpeh •T•C•E• 22:06, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
