New Icon[edit]

The new icon is rather small, but I agree that it's due a change from the Dragonborn face image. Does anyone have any better ideas that the Dawnguard logo? Or perhaps the image could be filled out width-ways (the logo as part of a banner or something)? —Legoless (talk) 19:39, 9 February 2013 (GMT)

I like the new image, but I don't think it works well for the {{Mod Header}} the way it looks currently. We might be able to achieve something better changing the size in the {{Save Named Values}} template on the main Dawnguard article, but with the AR the way it is right now it looks squished and weird to me (even after purging). Also, do we really want/need this new image? The Dragonborn face image is what was used for both the official Dawnguard announcement and the cover art for the DLC. The icons we use for KotN and Hearthfire also use an image which closely resembles something from the cover art for their respective DLC, so it would be following precedence to continue doing so. Anyway, I'm not really partial to one icon or the other, but I do think we would need to fix the newer icon to not look so squished if we do decide to use it. It looks really ugly to me as is. — ABCface 19:48, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
Reverting to the old icon for now could be best. I personally don't really like it, since it's not very distinct and has little to do with the DLC (outside of the cover art and the glowing eyes). If people would prefer to keep it though, I wouldn't mind. —Legoless (talk) 19:56, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
I reverted it for now, as the glowing eyes - while not perfect - makes for a better layout at the moment. I'll see if I can get that faction icon up and running tomorrow, and then we can make a final decision. --Krusty (talk) 23:26, 12 February 2013 (GMT)
For me the new image simply hasn't got the immediate recognition the glowing eye head has - granted the glowing gets a bit lost in the small icon size version and looks a bit like the regular Skyrim head. --Alfwyn (talk) 16:38, 14 February 2013 (GMT)
