Warnings[edit]

Can you please be more careful when issuing warnings please? Looking at the contributions of the IP adress 71.221.67.37 I can't see any sort of vandalism, so I fail to see the reason for this warning. --S'drassa T2M 19:34, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

I just asked RobinHood70 how can I see the inappropriate the user or IP adress has done to be able to judge better if a user or IP adress must be warned or not. I will be more careful after he answers me. --Rigas Papadopoulos
The warning buttons are there for convenience - it's not an indication that the user has necessarily made any inappropriate edits. Robin Hoodtalk 19:47, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
(edit conflict) For future reference, you can check the contributions of any user here, you just need to enter the IP address or username in the box and it will show all the contributions of the user. --S'drassa T2M 19:48, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

I thought the warning buttons are an indicator that a user or IP adress has made inappropriate edits. Thanks for letting me know. --Rigas Papadopoulos 19:51, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

Active User Status[edit]

Can I ask that you not update your Active User Status section quite so often, please? Each time you make an edit, someone has to "patrol" the edit (marking it as appropriate or inappropriate), so it takes up our time when we have to do that several times every day. Once every few days or once a week would probably be fine. Thanks! Robin Hoodtalk 19:52, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

I know that, SerCenKing told me. Thanks for reminding me though. --Rigas Papadopoulos 19:53, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

Editing other users' post[edit]

Please don't edit another user's post or comments, even if the comment contains an error or spelling mistake. A user is only allowed to change his or her own wording when posting. -- Jplatinum16 13:04, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

I thought I am allowed to edit a comment as long it is not at a User Page. Thanks for telling me. I will keep it in mind. --Rigas Papadopoulos 13:10, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

Might I remind you of this? In the last few days I've seen many people undoing several of your edits because you keep doing this, and you're not allowed to do that unless the comment contains some sort vandalism. --S'drassa T2M 15:01, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

As long as the comment is in my talk page I AM allowed to edit it. You are right about most of the stuff though and I should stop doing it. --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 15:03, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

You're allowed to edit your comments, but not the ones of other editors, not even in your talk page. --S'drassa T2M 15:05, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

I do not remember who said it but someone said that Elliot was allowed to edit and remove anything expect official messages and warnings. Why that does not apply with me? Do I have to be a Patroller? --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 15:10, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

No, I am saying that you're not allowed to edit people's posts, which includes modify, correct spelling, grammar, etc. You, however, are entitled to remove comments or topics from your talk page, meaning that you can delete totally topics from your talk page. --S'drassa T2M 15:14, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

I now finally fully understand. I will stop editing people's posts unless they contain vandalism. --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 15:17, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Vanilla?[edit]

What vanilla Oblivion is? --Rigas Papadopoulos 13:41, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

It usually means if you were playing Oblivion without any third-party mods installed, but it can also be expanded to mean Oblivion without any of the official plug-ins installed (including Shivering Isles) or patches. On the site, I've seen that the most common meaning is just Oblivion without any mods. -- Jplatinum16 13:53, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

The only mod I have installed for Oblivion is the 1.2 patch because it was installed with Oblivion (My version number says it). That means I have vanilla Oblivion? --Rigas Papadopoulos 13:56, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

I would say... yes, you do have vanilla Oblivion. The official patches (as far as I know) does not mean a game has been modified, since they only fix known issues, and not add anything in particular. -- Jplatinum16 14:09, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the information! --Rigas Papadopoulos 04:58, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Open proxy?[edit]

What does open proxy, zombie computer and Tor exit node means? --Rigas Papadopoulos 12:39, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

They're all methods for vandals to circumvent the normal security methods that we use on the wiki. Specifically, they make it impossible for an administrator to be able to identify when it's the same person vandalizing the site, a different one, or a legitimate user. Therefore, we block them whenever we find them.
Also, very few people are going to read questions you post on your own talk page. You're better off asking these sorts of questions on the Community Portal. Robin Hoodtalk 22:57, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for information. About the Community Portal, I am counting mostly on patrollers to answer my questions because SerCenKing told me that every edit I do needs to be patrolled, so I guess that the patroller that will see it will answer. --Rigas Papadopoulos 05:00, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Old Topics[edit]

Please can you check the date on topics before replying? This post was to a topic that has been dead for nearly three years, and the last post in this topic was four and a half years ago. Resurrecting dead topics is pointless, because in most cases the people talking are no longer around. rpeh •TCE 18:03, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Those topics where unsinged, they did not say which day the were writen. I could not know their date. --Rigas Papadopoulos 04:56, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
The first one was unsigned but has the date parameter specified clearly as 28 October 2007, and the second one is signed correctly. In general, if you're replying to any topic other than the last one on a talk page, it's always worth checking the date. rpeh •TCE 08:02, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me. But it is a strange curiosity that makes me answer any comments I see as long as I know the answer. Besides, anyone that sees the page may take his answer without having to start a new topic with the same theme because the other is old. --Rigas Papadopoulos 08:34, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Hero Article[edit]

Since you're obviously very interested in finishing the article before having it judged, I would suggest that you move it to a subpage of your user page. As rpeh said, this would be a sandbox—not for fun or experimentation, but just so that you can do whatever you want to with the article, then ask people to look at it when you're done and see what they think should be done with the information. That would ensure that your work doesn't get deleted, and that you have all the time that you want to add any information you think is relevant. This is a very common way to handle new articles where you don't have all the information available and/or intend to add more over time.

If you decide to do this, simply go to Lore:Unknown Oblivion Hero and click on the "Move" tab at the top. Then type in something like User:Rigas Papadopoulos/Unknown Oblivion Hero or maybe just User:Rigas Papadopoulos/Sandbox and the reason why you're moving it ("Userfying" is probably good enough). Alternatively, you can copy & paste if you want to put it into an existing sandbox instead. Then, just post a message to the Deletion Review so that we can cancel the review. Robin Hoodtalk 19:16, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I believe this is the best way of handling the situation so I will try it. --Rigas Papadopoulos 19:20, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

About That Patch...[edit]

You might want to talk to the people working on the UOP, for example Arthmoor is the current UESP contact although that's not all he does.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 19:39, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for trying to help, but I can not understand exactly what you mean. Can you give me more detailed information? --Rigas Papadopoulos 20:18, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

I was saying that you might want to help with the existing patch rather than create a new one. Fixing technical issues is a big job after all.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 20:24, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, I will see what I will do. --Rigas Papadopoulos 04:57, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Semi-Protection[edit]

Who semi-protected this? I want to thank him/her. --Rigas Papadopoulos 20:21, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

It's not semi-protected, that's just a result of the Editing Allowed template. We should probably find a different icon for it, actually. Robin Hoodtalk 23:29, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Editing Allowed Template? What's it's use? --Rigas Papadopoulos 04:58, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Its purpose is to indicate that other users can edit a page - all users, certain users, or only for spelling and grammar. Robin Hoodtalk 07:59, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! --Rigas Papadopoulos 10:31, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Birthday[edit]

Is there any page that I can see which users have birthday the day I see it? --Rigas Papadopoulos 18:10, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Nope, for that you will need to see the user's userpage and see if they have the {{User current age}} template. --S'drassa T2M 18:19, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

I must check each page separately? --Rigas Papadopoulos 18:55, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Each userpage, yes. Take a look at my userpage for example. There I have the userbox that says I'm 18 years, 5 months and 10 days old. --S'drassa T2M

Thanks for telling me. --Rigas Papadopoulos 19:06, 30 September 2010 (UTC) P.S. My says that I am 12 years, 10 months and 14 days old.

Signature[edit]

This is in response to your question on my talk page. I'd suggest you look my signatures template page: here. To get the "talk" thing that I have, that links to your page, you would want [[User talk:Rigas Papadopoulos|Talk]] which would give you Talk Note that on your talk page, it wont have a link but on other pages it will. Try creating a page such as User:Rigas Papadopoulos/Signature. If it still doesnt work, please respond here. I try to keep my user talk page as short as possible :) By the way, if you have the daedric font installed, you will see my signature properly. MikeTalk 05:02, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

It does not work. Check here. What should I do now? --Rigas Papadopoulos 09:56, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

I made it work! Thank you very much for helping me! --Rigas Papadopoulos Talk 09:59, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

are you sure, it still show's up as a line, I'll help you below what you already have, and I'll try guessing what you want ;) if its not, just revert edit. MikeTalk 15:01, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

I can not understand anything. What do you mean? --Rigas Papadopoulos Talk 07:56, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Could you PLEASE....[edit]

 • stop advertising about piracy and asking people to e-mail you for illegal links
 • use the SHOW PREVIEW button
 • stop updating your page every time you gain a rank on the Active Users list

--Krusty 17:01, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

 • Okay. I thought it was forbidden only if have a direct link. I will delete it.
 • I generaly use Show Preview. If you are refering to the three consecutive edits I've done at my User Page then you have to know; If forgot to do something, no matter how unimportant it is, I edit the page again to fix it. I am not sure what the "minor edit" button does so I do not use it. If you can explain me what the "minor edit" button does I will be grateful.
 • I update my Active User Status about every 10-30 edits.

--Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 17:27, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Please, click the Recent Changes button to the left - then you can see how many edits you have made in the last couple of hours. Remember, somebody will have to go through ALL your edits and patrol them, instead of doing constructive work on the wiki. --Krusty 17:34, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

I know that I make many edits. But that's the way I am. I know that you are a much more expirienced editor than me so I will listen to you and stop consecutive edits. I know that Patrollers and Administrators have to patroll every single edit to the Wiki and I do not want to give anybody extra work. --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 17:39, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm not trying to bring you down or anything, but it is pretty simple;
 • Make some changes to the page, hit Show Preview
 • Consider if anything else needs to be changed, Show Preview again.
 • When you are absolutely CERTAIN that all your changes are correct, hit Save.
Remember, we can all make the occasional "oops" edit - but we all try to make as few of them as we possibly can.
All the best! --Krusty 17:48, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Since I was the somebody that had to patrol them I would also recommend that you remember this in the future since you've had to be reminded. Thanks for stopping the consecutive edits though! And by the way please indent your edits as discussed here--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 17:57, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Okay I will use Show Preview as Krusty said and I will intend. Thanks. --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 18:09, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Moved[edit]

Fine. I'm disappointed though; I am trying to help. Still, I agree with Brf so I will stop. And a question; what do you mean by "All posts from now on will be moved to your own talk page"? --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 14:07, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

I mean this. Daveh's talk page is NOT a chatroom. --Krusty 14:10, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

I know, but since he created the site, I believed it will be appropriate to ask him. --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 14:21, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

One small sidenote: If a user gives permission for you to edit their posts you're allowed to do so. However that's fairly rare and only counts if it specifically includes talk pages. I.E Gum's notice doesn't so that means his talk posts are off limits.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 17:02, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I understand. --Rigas Papadopoulos Do you need anything? 04:56, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Your Character[edit]

Is it okay if I just call him Rigas? Two reasons: 1. Papadopoulos doesn't really go with the in game lore, and 2. I don't want to have to type it out when I refer to him by his full name (which would be a lot. Seer is written through diary entries.) :D--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 19:33, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Yes, Rigas is just fine. I do not have a problem and it sounds more logical. I did not tell two things about him; Race: Attributes: -10 Strength, +10 Intelligence, +10 Agility, -10 Speed and -10 Endurance. I want him to wield an enchanted shortsword and wear a robe (I prefer black). --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 05:05, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

100% Completion[edit]

Just a quick question: Why did you make this edit? It may be correct, but you didn't explain it at all, and I see only one reference on the talk page, and that's three years old. Robin Hoodtalk 22:31, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

It is Todd's Test which can not be completed. --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 04:59, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
As far as I know, you can't start Todd's Test Adventure without using the console. If that's correct, we shouldn't document that on the page. Robin Hoodtalk 19:29, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
As far as I know, yes, you need the console to start Todd's Test. That means we remove it? --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 05:41, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Yup. As a rule, the only times we document console commands or areas/items that can only be found with the console are if:
 • it's a bug fix;
 • the page or section is dedicated to the console or a similar topic (e.g., Oblivion:Exterior Test Cells); or
 • the page details a specific element of the game very thoroughly, and it would be silly to create a whole new page just for the console-related items (e.g., Oblivion:Spells).
In all cases, we're very clear about noting that it can only be accessed by using the console or by looking in the Construction Set. Robin Hoodtalk 06:05, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
I understand. --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 06:36, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Another Quick Question[edit]

Where did you get the 70,000 figure from in this edit. The 1800 was easy to find, but I couldn't find any reference to 70,000 placement fixes. Robin Hoodtalk 00:34, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

I read somewhere (I think here on the site) that it fixes about 1800 bugs and 70000 object placement errors. --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 06:56, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, the 1800 is straight off of TESNexus, but we'll need confirmation on the 70,000 object placement errors before we can put it on the site. Robin Hoodtalk 07:52, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Quiz[edit]

Chicago. Robin Hoodtalk 10:01, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Correct! How did you find it? --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 10:03, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
It was the /7 for chicken and /3 for cat that clued me in. The /2 for goat threw me for a sec, but then I realized what it meant. Robin Hoodtalk 10:18, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
"1/2" sounds more normal than "2/4". I found the quiz at youtube, at a video named "Video 36". The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVQvhU5fYgo. --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 10:24, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Birthday Box[edit]

I'm guessing that you copied the Happy Birthday box from my user page. If so, you may want to change the {{CURRENTDAY}}=1 and {{CURRENTMONTH}}=5 to match your own birthday. :) Also, you're better off doing the UESPholic userbox as a custom userbox, otherwise your score will go up by one automatically in 2011. Try this:

{{Userbox|id-c=#EECC99|info-c=#FFEEDD|id= 9010|info=This user scored 9010 at the [[User:Rigas Papadopoulos/UESPholic Test|UESPholic Test.]]|id-s=14pt}}

Robin Hoodtalk 12:26, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Thank you! I did copy your userbox and changed the text. I am really thankful. --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 12:29, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Warnings[edit]

Please be careful when you are handing out Warnings. Edits like this is definitely not nonsense, nor does the anon deserve a warning in any way. If you are in doubt, better leave a message on my talk page. However, a useful list of more polite messages can be found here - one of those would have been much more appropriate. --Krusty 18:49, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

I was just about to contact you about this. Edits like this are not nonsense? Telling the Argonian to wait will cause him to become like a normal slave... which means the quest cannot be finished (unless we kill the Argonian... which I will have to try). It looks like nonsense to me. However, you are much more experienced editor than me so I suppose it will be better if I listen to you. Thanks for telling me. --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 18:55, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
You have to escort Tul to the farm. You can tell Tul to wait somewhere. On the Xbox doing that breaks the quest because he acts like all other slaves rather than a Cammona Tong agent. That's what the person was saying.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 18:59, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
I now understand. You see, I don't play Morrowind. I thought that the unless we kill the Argonian... which I will have to try part was said ironicly. Thanks for telling me. --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 19:01, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

That was a LONG test...[edit]

10915 was my score. I feel a little sad I didn't get higher ;) -- Jplatinum16 02:08, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Did you had fun? --Rigas Papadopoulos • Talk to meMy work 05:01, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Done! I scored 25805 points. :) --Krusty 07:58, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
