Welcome[edit]

Hello MacGyver! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask me or one of our mentors. Enjoy! --SerCenKing Talk 02:32, 3 April 2009 (EDT)

Hi, welcome to the site! However, could you be a bit more careful about creating new articles? It's probably wise to assume that we already have an article on nearly every Oblivion-related topic. Therefore, if you pull up a non-existent page, the chances are that you've mis-typed the page name: for example, with the Spells article you created, you left an "i" out of "Oblvion"; for the Blind Moth Priest article you made the article plural, whereas most articles use singular titles (in other words, no "s" at the end). The best way to look for an article on the site is to use the search box, found at the top left of every page on the site: type in the word you're looking for ("Spells" or "Blind Moth Priests"), then hit "Go", and you should be taken to the correct article. The search box will figure out whether an article title is singular or plural (although a search right now on Blind Moth Priests is likely to get messed up because of your redundant articles -- normally either "Blind Moth Priest" or "Blind Moth Priests" would take you to Oblivion:Blind Moth Priest). For more information, see the links in SerCenKing's note above; you may also want to look over Starting New Pages. --NepheleTalk 13:53, 3 April 2009 (EDT)

Show Preview[edit]

Thanks for your interest in the wiki; however, you seem to have been making multiple edits to a page by not using the show preview button, clogging up the Recent Changes in the process. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but keep in mind that each edit needs to be patrolled, so multiple consecutive edits create an unnecessary hassle on those who patrol. If you use this you can make all the changes to a page in one run (usually). So please utilize this feature! You may also want to look over our style guide and Getting Started guide.--Corevette789 00:00, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
