Welcome, again :) FYI, Daveh has now fixed all of your edits so they're all listed as being done by Forlornhope. I'm going to block the Most Honored Listener account and do some general fiddling to hopefully prevent any future confusion. Thanks for your help in sorting everything out! --NepheleTalk 18:40, 13 September 2007 (EDT)

Deletions on Oblivion:Gripes[edit]

Deleting random sections of pages is not acceptable, especially if you are doing it just to be spiteful, as suggested by your comments on Oblivion_talk:Gripes:

Now I cant even add balancing issues to gripes without having them removed therefore I have gone through and removed random ones from his page to show just how constructive removing other peoples ideas are. Thanks

If you have a legitimate issue that you would like to discuss, then you should bring up the issue on the appropriate talk page and explain your concerns. However, deleting random content for no justifiable reason is considered to be vandalism and can lead to administrative action against your account.

If this is related to contributions you've made to Oblivion:Gripes that were subsequently removed, the entries that I removed were taken out because they did not provide any new information. Filling the page with comments stating "I agree" does not improve the page. It is not a voting contest to determine which gripe is most disliked. Adding links that are already provided in the same paragraph is unnecessary. You may want to read over the Style Guide, in particular the section on redundancy, to learn more about the standards that we try to use on the wiki. --NepheleTalk 03:47, 20 September 2007 (EDT)

Edits to Dark Brotherhood Murderer[edit]

I can't help but suspect that you are the editor responsible for some recent edits to Oblivion:Dark Brotherhood Murderer (namely this and this), given that the edits were signed "FH", were made by someone who lives in Australia, and that the page in question is one that you originally created.

If there are problems that you encountered as an editor on UESP, it would seem much more mature to actually tell us what those problems were, instead of resorting to vandalizing pages with obscure comments. If, for example, you have reason to complain about the fact that I personally spent hours getting your account renamed and updating all of your previous edits, please let me know what I did wrong. Or if you object to other editors putting a lot of work into changing the Dark Brotherhood Murderer page from this to its current version, please tell us what we should have done differently.

In any case, these recent edits have made me feel that it's necessary to start recording IP addresses:

  • Forlornhope originally edited using IPs 58.178.91.66 and 58.178.95.84 (at the time using the account name Most Honored Listener, but all edits were moved to the new account name)
  • There is another account at ForlornHope which was only used for two days in April 2007; the IP addresses used by that account were never recorded.
  • The recent edits to Dark Brotherhood Murderer were made by 121.218.130.192. Although from a different ISP than Forlornhope's original edits, all IP addresses trace back to Australia.

To keep track of everything in a central place, Forlornhope's latest incarnation is 58.170.6.62, repeating the previous pattern of vandalizing the Dark Brotherhood Murderer pages and complaining about the pages that he started. --NepheleTalk 00:58, 30 July 2008 (EDT)
