This is entirely the work of my own imagination, and does not reflect anything that currently exists or is rumored to be in the works for Elder Scrolls Online. Since the release of the Warden class and with the upcoming Necromancer, this is now annotated to show how accurate my predictions were.

Necromancer is a class in Elder Scrolls Online. They are suitable as DPS and Tanking builds, having a variety of skills that can be effective for both. They often rely on minions from their Necromancy Tree, but can be effective damage dealers using Necrotic Chill and Death Magic.

Necrotic Chill[edit]

Yes☑ Well, it wasn't on the Necromancer, but I did predict the introduction of a frost-damage based skill tree, and many of the abilities in this tree ended up being seen in the Warden's Winter's Embrace tree. In particular, the Frozen Armor is basically Frost Cloak (There actually is a Frozen Armor passive, so I even got the name right), and Tornado is very similar to Arctic Wind

Ultimate Abilities[edit]

These abilities must be activated manually, for a cost of Ultimate.

Creates a ring of ice on the ground at a location of the caster's choosing. The center of the ring is safe, but enemies attempting to escape the ring will receive massive Frost Damage.
Morph Imploding Cage When the Cage expires, it will implode, dealing Frost Damage to any targets within the center.
Exploding Cage When the Cage expires, it will explode, dealing Frost Damage to any targets within X radius.

Paralyzing Touch Target is rooted in place for 2 seconds, after which they will be slowed by 30% for 10 additional seconds.
Ice Barrier 4 Instant Self 3 meters 10 seconds (?) Magicka
Erects a barrier of ice in front of the caster, absorbing all incoming damage for 10 seconds. Barrier can receive X damage before shattering. Opponents in melee range receive X Frost Damage when the barrier is cast.
Morph Ice Spikes Barrier can be cast at a distance from the caster, and deals X Frost Damage to nearby opponents.
Shattering Barrier Barrier explodes when destroyed or expired, dealing X Frost Damage to all nearby opponents.
Unholy Wind 20 Instant Self 10 meters 1 second (?) Magicka
Calls forth a blast of wind, knocking down weaker opponents in a conical area in front of the caster.
Morph Unholy Gale Has increased range and a wider conical area.
Evil Wind Causes some targets to flee in terror rather than being knocked down.
Frozen Armor 30 Instant Self - 15 seconds (?) Magicka
Surrounds the caster with ice, giving them a Damage Shield which absorbs up to X incoming damage, and granting them immunity from all Crowd Control effects while the shield is in effect. Caster's movement speed is slowed by 30% while active.
Morph Freezing Armor Causes X Frost Damage to any enemies who attack the caster from melee range.
Liquid Armor Grants Minor Expedition, increasing the caster's movement speed by 10% rather than slowing it.
Tornado 42 Instant Self 10 meters 10 seconds (?) Magicka
Surrounds the caster with swirling winds, knocking back any nearby enemies once per second for 10 seconds. Enemies who have been knocked back once are immune to being knocked back for 3 seconds.
Morph Blizzard Deals X Frost Damage to all enemies in range every second.
Hurricane Increases the radius of effect.

Passive Abilities[edit]

Passive abilities are active all the time.

Frigid Soul 39 1 When the caster is hit by a Frost Damage effect, damage is reduced by 10%, and their Magicka is restored by the same amount. This can occur no more than once every 5 seconds.
50 2 When the caster is hit by a Frost Damage effect, damage is reduced by 20%, and their Magicka is restored by the same amount. This can occur no more than once every 5 seconds.

Necromancy[edit]

Yes☑ Well, a bone-themed tree was inevitable for a Necromancer. I was fairly close on the Ultimate for this tree - except that you become a Bone Walker instead of just summoning one. Raise Skeleton was also an obvious choice, seen as Skeletal Mage. Corpse Bomb seems very similar to Blastbones.

Calls forth a great hulking Bone Walker to fight at your side. Bonewalker does not move, but can attack enemies within a fair radius around it. Bonewalker can summon 3 skeletons in addition to your own. (It does not require corpses to do so.)
Morph Greater Bonewalker Bonewalker has increased health and damage radius.
Shambling Bonewalker Bonewalker can move and has increased duration.

Cast on a corpse to raise a skeleton to fight by your side. You may have up to 2 Skeletons raised at a time. Skeletons do melee damage to their targets. Skeletons can last up to 60 seconds, or until killed.
Morph Skeleton Archers Raises a skeleton armed with a bow, who will attack from a distance. If you already have 2 archers, casting again will raise a normal skeleton. You may a total of 2 archers and 2 normal skeletons at one time.
Raise Zombie Raises zombies instead of skeletons. These have an additional attack which deals Disease damage in a conical area. You may have up to 3 zombies at one time.
Corpse Bomb 4 Instant Corpse 10 meters 1 second (?) Magicka
Causes a corpse to explode, dealing Disease Damage to all nearby enemies.
Morph Death Bomb Cast on a living target instead. If that target is killed within 10 seconds, they will explode, dealing Disease Damage to nearby enemies.
Corpse Trap Turns a corpse into a trap, which will explode whenever an enemy gets close enough to it. You may have up to two traps active at one time.
Summon Spirit 20 Instant Ground 10 meters 20 seconds (?) Magicka
Summons a Ghost to fight at your side. Does not require a corpse. Ghosts deal Frost Damage from a distance. They last up to 20 seconds, or until killed. You may have only 1 ghost at a time.
Morph Summon Wraith Summons a more powerful Wraith to fight at your side. Wraiths deal more damage and have 50% more health. They also have a fear ability, which can cause enemies to run in terror.
Spirit Army Can summon up to 3 spirits at a time.
Ghostly Shield 30 Instant Self - 10 seconds (?) Magicka
Summons a ghostly shield which will absorb incoming projectiles for 10 seconds.
Morph Vengeful Shield Shield will reflect all incoming projectiles to their casters instead of just absorbing them. Reflected projectiles will deal 10/15/20/25% greater damage.
Absorbing Shield Absorbed projectiles restore the Health and Magicka or Stamina of the caster. (Magical attacks restore Magicka, while physical attacks restore Stamina.)
Raise Thrall 42 Instant Corpse 10 meters - (?) Magicka
Cast on a slain enemy to raise them in your service. Thralls will have whatever abilities they had in life. Cannot be used on certain tougher enemies or other players. Thralls will last until killed. Once killed, they cannot be raised again. You may have only 1 thrall at a time.
Morph Fortified Thrall Thrall is revived with double their normal health and deals 50% more damage.
Feral Thrall Thrall has their movement and attack speed increased by 40%.

Passive Abilities[edit]

Death Magic[edit]

Yes☑ There's some parallels here between this and Living Death as well as the Warden's Animal Companions. Death Shield has some things in common with Reanimate, the Living Death's Ultimate skill, in that they are both aimed at directly defying death. Buzzing Flies is a pretty-near-exact match for Swarm.

Ultimate Abilities[edit]

Creates a field around the caster that causes you to be healed by 50% of the maximum health of any enemy killed within the field for 20 seconds. While the field is active, the caster cannot be killed. If your health is reduced to 0, you will instead turn into a statue, unable to attack or be attacked, but still able to receive healing, and the field will additionally deal X Magic Damage per second to all enemies within it. This effect can occur no more than once every 5 minutes.
Morph Killing Shield Field does Magic Damage even if the caster is not in statue form.
Invigorating Shield Restores Magicka and Stamina as well as Health from enemy deaths.

Surrounds an enemy with a swarm of buzzing flies, disorienting them and dealing X Physical Damage per second.
Morph Buzzing Swarm Swarm is larger, and also damages other nearby enemies.
Sapping Swarm 20% of damage done to target heals the caster.
Creeping Doom 4 Instant Target 10 meters 10 seconds (?) Magicka
Cast on a target. That target receives increased damage from all sources the closer they are to death for 10 seconds. Increased damage is equal to 100% - their current health percentage, divided by 4, up to 25% immediately before death. Only one target may be affected at a time.
Morph Creeping Decay Target's damage values are reduced as well by the same percentage.
Leeching Doom Damage done to the target heals the caster by the same percentage.
Claim Soul 20 Instant Target 10 meters 10 seconds (?) Magicka
Cast on a target. If that target is killed within 10 seconds, fills a soul gem, and the caster receives X Health and Magicka, where X is equal to 10% of the targets maximum health. Only one soul may be claimed at a time. Caster must remain within 20m of the target or the bond is severed.
Morph Drain Soul Target receives X Magic Damage per second while the spell is in effect.
Life Bond Increases damage dealt by the caster to the target, and reduces damage dealt by the target to the caster. (Note this does not include damage dealt by the caster's minions.)
Mind Warp 30 Instant Target 20 meters - 5 seconds (?) Magicka
Invade the mind of an enemy, causing them to turn and attack their former allies for 5 seconds. Does not work on more powerful opponents or other players. If there are no allies to attack, turned enemies will simply flee instead.
Morph Mind Thrash Target receives X Magic Damage per second while the spell is in effect.
Riot Cast on an area, affects up to 3 enemies, causing them to attack the nearest target, including eachother.
Tainted Earth 42 Instant Ground 10 meters 10 seconds (?) Magicka
Causes an area of ground to become tainted with a foul miasma for 10 seconds. All enemies who enter the tainted area become afflicted with a disease, which causes X Disease Damage per second for 10 seconds, even if the spell expires or they leave the affected area.
Morph Infectious Earth Infected enemies can spread the disease to their allies if they get too close.
Befouled Earth Enemies in the area have their movement speed reduced by 30%.
