These are notes I've made on obscure parts of Skyrim that contain information that either doesn't yet have anywhere to go on the general UESP pages, or is just too minor to be worth noting there but for some reason I want to keep track of it.

Colovian Brandy and Diplomatic Immunity[edit]

Colovian Brandy is fairly common in Oblivion, at least at the higher levels. As far as I can tell the only time it appears in Skyrim is in DI. If you need to convince Razelan to give you a distraction at the party, then he will take a bottle of alcohol from your inventory. He will always take the highest-valued kind of booze you have in your inventory. In the corner there is a bottle of Potion of Regeneration, near it are a couple bottles of Alto Wine. If you get the Alto Wine first you can befriend Razelan with it, and then get one or two bottles of Colovian Brandy from Brelas and/or Malborn. The brandy has a fortify speech effect useful for making gold; they're also super-rare items in Skyrim. Brelas won't give you a bottle if you've already had one from Malborn, but I think Malborn will give you a bottle after Brelas has given you one.

Nope, that was wrong; neither of them will give you a second bottle.

Followers in Diplomatic Immunity[edit]

If you have a follower when you board the carriage to the embassy, it seems that he/she continues to try to follow you and usually eventually hooks up with you in the Reeking Cave. I've just gone through this quest using Aela as my follower; I was able to track her movement using the target of the minor quest Talk to the Companions leaders for work. When I went to go on the carriage, she was standing next to Delphine; by the time I got on the carriage she was facing the carriage itself. When I arrive at the Thalmor Embassy, she is about halfway between Katla's Farm and the embassy, looking like she's been following the carriage but since she's on foot she's lagging behind it. I walked over to the locked gate and waited for about fifteen seconds; Aela came charging up the road to the door and stopped once she was near me. When I walked back towards the embassy, she started to flail against the door and then glitched her way through it, and stood near me outside the embassy, but then she was stopped by the entrance to the embassy; her marker appears to show her standing just outside the front door while I attend the party. She does not appear to move around at all until I enter the Reeking Cave, just stands by the entrance to the building where the party is held. However, when I enter the Reeking Cave, she appears inside it already and helps me fight the troll.

Dragon souls stolen by Miraak[edit]

Total count so far on Clarissa playthrough: 3.

Total count so far on Laura playthrough: 7.

Regen rate enchantments & Corpus Enchanter[edit]

They are boosted by it.

Season Unending & Fortify Persuasion[edit]

It looks like fortify speechcraft effects with a limited duration, like Gift of Charity and Dibella's Blessing, are cancelled when you sit down at the table in Season Unending. Possibly other limited-duration effects are cancelled as well. Needs to be investigated.

Alduin's Wall dragon upgrades[edit]

This is a conversation from the old Creation Kit Info Requests page, which seems to be no longer active.

  • During Alduin's Wall, an extra dragon spawns south of the Karthspire, usually you encounter it somewhere around Old Hroldan if you're approaching from the south. It appears to be higher-level than other dragons that you meet from regular leveled lists. What's the minimum level required for it to possibly be a Legendary dragon (with Dawnguard installed), what are the odds of it being a Legendary dragon, and is there a level where it would always be a Legendary dragon? --Morrolan (talk) 11:28, 28 July 2013 (GMT)
I've done some study of the quest in CSList. Here's what I found so far: the Alduin's Wall script has the code
;Enable the second batch of dragon mounds.
dunDragonMoundQST.SetStage(50)
after Esbern and Delphine are made followers. In dunDragonMoundQST this starts Fragment_5, which reads:
Function Fragment_5()
;BEGIN CODE
;Batch #2 -- MQ203 Stage 60
Alias_DragonMoundTundra04Marker.GetReference().Enable()
Alias_DragonMoundReach02Marker.GetReference().Enable()
Alias_DragonMoundPineForest01Marker.GetReference().Enable()
Alias_DragonMoundPineForest02Marker.GetReference().Enable()
Alias_DragonMoundPineForest03Marker.GetReference().Enable()

;Start Alduin Resurrect Scene 2 at DragonMoundTundra03
MQResurrectDragon.SetStage(20)
;END CODE
EndFunction
The call to MQResurrectDragon just spawns Nahagliiv. However I did some investigation of DragonMoundReach02Marker and it turns out that its cell ID is 0x00000d74, which links to a record modified by Dawnguard. That caught my interest so I looked it up, and it turns out that EdgeMarkerOldHroldan has exactly the same cell ID. Which means that somehow the line Alias_DragonMoundReach02Marker.GetReference().Enable() is connected to the spawning of the dragon, but now I'm not sure where to look next for the leveled list. Anyone? --Morrolan (talk) 13:09, 6 September 2013 (GMT)
Can't answer the question, but judging from this edit, it seems that there may be something to this particular dragon spawn being a higher level than normal. It would be useful to know how much higher. — ABCface 21:25, 18 September 2013 (GMT)
It looks like the quest may affect all random dragons, not just the one south of the Karthspire. I had a level 69 character today encounter two Legendary Dragons while on Alduin's Wall, one flying over the plains of Whiterun and the other in the traditional spot south of the Karthspire. --Morrolan (talk) 15:08, 13 April 2014 (GMT)
