1:The Dunhaven Five[edit]

In the Velothi Mountains, on the border between Skyrim and Morrowind, there was a cave. The cave was once known as Stony Creek Cave, a small bandit cave which had been connected to a dwarven ruin through a network of now blocked off tunnels. Outside the cave stood a small village of hastily consrtucted huts, many of which were becoming more permanent. Inside the cave sat a gathering of five elves, Dunmer, the ones who had, through some Godly or Daedric intervention, called the other Dunmer to form the town. In a circle around a fire sat Rindral Faral, a powerful mage, formerly of the college of Winterhold, Marvin Hlaalu, an old warrior, formerly Imperial Legion, Flinn Suja, a magnificent bowman, former clerk for the East Empire Company, Athal Almu, a spry thief, formerly of the Thieves Guild, and Sucio Indoril, the last living descendant of a High Seat of House Indoril, the self-proclaimed Vengeance of the Dunmer. As they sat at the fire, a certain individual was busy retrieving a stone from Bleak Falls Barrow for a court mage...

2:Back Home Again...[edit]

Rindral sat quietly at the fire, staring into its depths. He had started it with his bare hands, the simple Flames spell. A smile puckered at the corner of his mouth as he thought of all the spells he knew and the power he held within himself. His days at the College of Winterhold had given him enormous power. He glanced up at Sucio, who was sitting across from him. Sucio was now wearing hide armor over his fur clothing he had met the group in. His sword never left his side. Glancing to Marvin, who was still wearing the steel plate armor he favored, he saw the old elf caressing the axe he used, Hlaalu's Cleaver. Looking to the left of Sucio, Rindral saw Athal still wearing the same strange gear he had found him in, but now he was not a nervous wreck. To Sucio's right sat Flinn, who had found an elven bow among the cave's treasures, and was wearing a simple set of brown clothing. He turned his attention back to Sucio. He had the look on his face that he was about to say something.

Sucio looked up from the fire as well, clearing his throat. "We need to do something." He stated, firmly but softly.

Marvin groaned. "Not this whole Grey Legion idea again." Marvin hadnt liked the thought very much, but as the Dunmer outside began to increase steadily and many of them began training with weapons, he had had almost no choice but to train them, to "make sure they didnt hurt themselves" he had said.

Sucio shrugged, "Not exactly. I'm thinking that we need to do something to improve the lives of the Dunmer, and who better to do it than us." Athal and Flinn snorted at the same time.

Rindral shrugged and added, "Why not." to the mix.

Sucio looked at him and smiled. "I'm glad you feel that way Rindral, because I have a special job for each of you. Yours is going to be fun, for you." The other stopped speaking and moved in to listen, Rindral leaned closer and found himself wondering when Sucio had taken the lead of the group. Sucio said to Rindral "I want you to go to the College of Winterhold. Get us some allies within. Hopefully the Arch-Mage, Savos Aren, another Dark elf. I believe you two were friends." He was right. Rindral had let slip that he had been friends with Savos and apparently Sucio had stored it away, clever boy.

Rindral smiled and stood, "Back Home!" He said cheerfully. He was not looking forward to it.

3:Old Friends[edit]

Though his behind hurt worse than a skeever in a bear trap, Rindral was still in awe when he approached the College, the way he had been when he had first arrived. Sucio had found him a horse and sent him away quickly, he had reached Winterhold within three days. He was now wearing a cheap robe he had been given by one of the villegers in Dunhaven. He was still getting used to the idea of a village of Dunmer. Riding up to the bridge, he saw Faralda guarding the bridge. Dsimounting, he took a few steps up to the top.

Faralda spoke out, "Cross the bridge at your own peril. The way is dangerous and-Rindral?" She asked when he topped the ramp.

He smiled and bowed. "Faralda, my dear. Its been so long." Faralda was quiet for a moment, then slapped him.

She was on the verge of tears. "I had thought you were dead. GO!" she screamed at him, ushering him past her as she turned away and began sniffling. He felt old emotions rush back in, ones he had suppressed. To be the wizard he was, Rindral had given up much, his family, his social life, his girl... He shook it off. Still feeling guilty he crossed the bridge and walked through the gates. In the courtyard stood two people having a quiet and fierce discussion.

One, a Dunmer in ornate robes spoke first, "We do not need to recruit Mirabelle, those who wish to learn will come to us."

The other, a short human woman responded, "So few come Savos, we may need to." Rindral walked up to the pair with a large grin on his face.

The two stopped and turned to Rindral, a look of realization dawned on the Dunmer. "By the Nine, it's Rindral Faral." Said Savos Aren. Rindral smiled at the old mage.

"It's good to see you as well old friend." Rindral said, embracing the old mage.

Savos broke off after a few seconds and turned to the woman. "Mirabelle, this is Rindral, he was an initiate with me too many years back to count." Mirabelle nodded and walked away. "Busy woman, she is always working." Savos said. "What brings you here old friend?" he asked, leading Rindral to the Hall of the Elements.

Rindral followed. "I need to speak to you. Privately."

4:New Unfriendly Faces[edit]

Rindral watched as his old friend Savos paced in his indoor garden. "I don't know Rindral." Savos was saying, over and over. Rindral had told him about Dunhaven, and Sucio's plan to improve the lot of the Dunmer in Skyrim. He had asked the Arch-Mage to set up a communication system with the village, with Rindral himself in particular. "I don't know." Savos said again. "What's not to know Savos?" Rindral asked, finally impatient. "What's enough for you to question the continuity of your people. You could be a hero to the Dunmer." Rindral said, letting the thought hang in the air. Savos chuckled. "I believe the only hero the Dunmer will recognize will be the one you mentioned, Sucio. He seems to represent Dunmer nicely." Rindral sniffed. He wouldn't let Sucio know the Arch-Mage had said that. Might go to his head.
