Lights Dim?[edit]

On my game, when the assassins enter, the lights always dim. Is this commonplace, or just a fluke? By the way, I AM talking the lights IN GAME, not in real life, so don't think I'm just going insane;)--Juz 10:44, 19 March 2008 (EDT)

I think it is a fluke, but I haven't played Tribunal in awhile. --Ratwar 15:31, 22 March 2008 (EDT)
My view was obstructed by the screen, but I believe the assassins blow out the candle by the door shortly after entering.Nigelvibations 05:05, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Bug[edit]

When I hide behind the screen in Barenziah's chamber, I don't get the JOURNAL entry. I need help. Xbox GOTY. Dagoth Ur, Mad God 07:28, 22 March 2008 (EDT)

All I can suggest is just reload and try again. Not much you can do on x-box. --Ratwar 15:31, 22 March 2008 (EDT)
If anyone reading this has a similar bug but also the good fortune of playing on PC, using the console will resolve this issue. For me, I had to physically type into the console:
journal "TR_Assassins" 60
journal "TR_Assassins" 70
journal "TR_Assassins" 80
journal "TR_Assassins" 85
in that order, before any assassins bothered to show up. I also waited until 'tomorrow' as Helseth said, but I typed these journal entries at around 3-4pm and the assassins showed up promptly after, instead of waiting until ~9pm as the walkthrough predicted. When the assassins showed up, they clumped at the door, and a quick tcl console command was able to progress everything smoothly from there (don't forget to enter tcl again to revert collision). Overall, I think it may have something to do with quest stages 60 and 70 (asking Barenziah and Plitinius Mero about the assassination plot). Perhaps only after asking both of them and getting their respective journal entries to update can the journal entry for '85 - getting into place' be updated, and the script of the assassins finally started.
Regardless, hope this helps anyone experiencing this bug on PC! If you're on the original xbox, sad day for you. Maybe an older savegame can help, and try getting journal updates from Barenziah and Plitinius Mero first after talking to that orc, before talking to Helseth again. weird glitch[edit]

I hid behind the screen, and got the journal entry, but when the assassins entered the room the lights didn't go out, and they just stood there. I waited awhile, then i walked up to one, and talked to it, only after i exited the dialouge did they attack. Has this happened to anyone else? Halfstache 21:35, 5 July 2011 (UTC)halfstache

Yes, I replayed that scene five times, three of those times the assassins got stuck in the door and the scripted events did not occur until I attacked them and they targeted me. Tribunal has a lot of scripted events and the characters that carry them out often get stuck.--Zar Pof 16:05, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

seem to have skipped this quest by asking the barkeep about karrod soon after arriving in mournhold and accidentally enlisting his help tuckering karrod out, which seemed to flag the karrod duel quest into active status. completed the duel with karrod later just fine though
