Split?[edit]

How should this article be split? There's a split request on the page, but no indication of how or why. --Gaebrial 04:18, 11 February 2008 (EST)

I would approve to split this article. The TR_Bamz more belongs to or after An Attack on Mournhold and can be a quest on its own. -- Adjego 09:27, 18 February 2008 (EST)

Journal Entries[edit]

This might just be me being dense, but why are the journal entries for TR_Bamz listed here? --Gaebrial 04:18, 11 February 2008 (EST)

I haven't got around to Tribunal yet but I'd imagine the split and the two sets of journal entries are related? –RpehTCE 04:26, 11 February 2008 (EST)

Almalexia's loss of power[edit]

From main text:

  • It is interesting to note that Almalexia does not in fact have power and resorts to the machinations of the Dwemer much like Dagoth Ur for her demonstration of power. --— Unsigned comment by 118.172.51.198 (talk)
Not surprising at all, if you read the MW Main Quest, the Tribunal power waned after losing Keening/Sunder, and even more after the heart was destroyed; it's been awhile since they could do their annual pilgrimage and bath. The whole premise of the Tribunal expansion is the desperate measures Almalexia takes to keep her hold on people. See Tribunal main page. --BenouldTC 11:51, 18 May 2008 (EDT)

just wanted to add another comment on this topic. by askign around in game you learn quickly of the ghostwall, the shield used to stop dagoth ur in red mountain. after a while ppl will mention it requires the full tribunals strength to maintain hence why no gds have been seen in along time and some mention that while the gods are now returning to morrowind there energy is still focused entirely on the ghostwall. so it seems they do have there power but its sorta being used the whole time they play. and a added bonus 1 person i talked to feared the gods return is a sign the ghostwall is falling. (all this info fount b4 doing morrowind main quest so may alter with quest completion)203.26.16.68 21:17, 24 May 2008 (EDT)

I can confirm the dialog given, if you explore Tribunal before the Main Quest in Morrowind. See Morrowind:Ghostfence for more lore. --BenouldTC 12:28, 27 May 2008 (EDT)

Third Time Lucky?[edit]

I know there have already been two requests for clarification over DrPhoton's call for a split in the article but having now played the quest I want to add my voice to the clamour. If nobody gives me a negative within a couple of days, I'm going to make the split and update the MQ pages accordingly. –RpehTCE 17:45, 19 May 2008 (EDT)

Okay, need a little help. The problem is that there seem to be alternative orders. The existing quest states that the Investigate Bamz-Amschend quest is given by Helseth and takes place after Helseth's Champion. I managed to get it straight after An Attack on Mournhold. Can anybody shed any light on the original order? If not, then one rewrite can be found here and one new article here. Any critical input would be welcome. –RpehTCE 13:54, 27 May 2008 (EDT)
Well, the quests in Tribunal are a little messy, since you have two quest givers that can give the same quests, and an option to skip many in between. ;) The order is Investigate Bamz Ruins - Assassination Attempt - Helseth's Champion, as seen here. Hope that helps, --BenouldTC 14:20, 27 May 2008 (EDT)

Wrong Directions[edit]

When you are looking for Meralyn Othan, if you ask anyone in the Bazaar about her, they will say she is "toward the West side of the Bazaar", but she is actually at the top of the stairs on the East side of the Bazaar. --Brf 12:40, 4 June 2008 (EDT)

No reward?[edit]

How come there is no reward...quit on the contrary from now on you can use your "powers" to change weather in Mournhold; this is one of the greatest rewards ever!--89.47.146.146 10:30, 15 September 2008 (EDT)Theron

Not really. Almalexia will lock the weather machine into the current setting. You are not able to reset it yourself. --Timenn < talk > 10:41, 15 September 2008 (EDT)

No! Almalexia will lock it down but after she will die and Azura will set it on clear you can use it like you want (it contains all weathers, except snow). — Unsigned comment by 89.47.146.146 (talk) on 16 September 2008

But that would be more of a reward for the final quest instead of this one. --Timenn < talk > 09:25, 16 September 2008 (EDT)
Ok, I agree with that but it isn't noted there either!--89.47.146.146 13:03, 17 September 2008 (EDT)Theron
It's on as a note. It doesn't count as a "reward". –RpehTCE 13:39, 17 September 2008 (EDT)

A guide to use the Weather Machine required[edit]

Can someone make a guide to use this machine with both commands and draws. Cause i don't get the controls and the drawings won't help me either. I mean only through the journal entry I knew I unleashed the ashstorm outside cause on the drawings it looked kinda like a volcano. Thank you!--89.47.146.146 13:09, 17 September 2008 (EDT)Theron

Already on it. I've got the pictures - I just need to spend some time working out what means what, and what level positions lead to which weather. –RpehTCE 13:39, 17 September 2008 (EDT)

Thanks again I look forward to it!--89.47.146.146 07:11, 18 September 2008 (EDT)Theron

PC Plugin Compatibility[edit]

Would it be appropriate to add to the Notes section that some plugins will prevent the initial "task for you" topic from appearing, and can be resolved by using this console command?

addtopic "task for you"

Chimera 05:24, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Umm... no. If some mod causes a problem then it's the mod's fault. We don't document every problem caused by sloppy coding of 3rd party mods. rpeh •TCE 09:17, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
I understand that, even though my point was that it's irrelevant which mod is actually causing the issue. The truth is, I hadn't noticed until shortly before I checked up on this talk, that the "addtopic" command is in the list of console commands. Thanks for the speedy reply, though! Chimera 11:59, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Satchel[edit]

I have a third, somehow. Is this normal, and can it be used? As a note I have used the two during 'A Show Of Power' and the 'Blade Of Neverar'. Not sure where I found it exactly, just in the Dwemer ruins below Mournhold. — Unsigned comment by 82.34.89.211 (talk) on 22 August 2010

Yup, there are three but you only need two. Sell the other one or keep it as a curiosity. rpeh •TCE 10:17, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Maralyn Othan[edit]

Meralyn Othan will also speak to you about the End of Times cult and in fact access to Almalexia isn't necessary until after you get information on the cult from Eno Romari. - Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 23:57, 4 April 2013 (GMT)

Able to get this quest too early[edit]

I was able to get this quest while only being at the quest "The Shrine of the Dead". I could talk to Meralyn Othan about beliefs and she told me about her brother and the cult. Probably a bug you can do this at such an early state? Sara Vin (talk) 01:02, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

The beliefs topic should only be available once "A Show of Power" has been started by talking with Almalexia. If you're able to talk to Meralyn Othan about it prior to starting the quest then it's definitely a bug. It would seem you got the topic prematurely from somewhere; do you recall talking with anyone else about "beliefs" prior to this? Are you running any mods? And you're using the German version of the game, correct? (I noticed a previous bug report you contributed as an anonymous editor, in case you're wondering how I know that.) If you're not using any mods then this should definitely be added to the Bugs section of the page. — Wolfborn(Howl) 02:33, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
