Stirk (city) and Stirk (island)[edit]

For clarity and ease of linking the 'correct one', think that we need two 'Stirk' pages: one for the city and one for the island. There would be no need for any new content to be added, since I've worked extensively on Lore:Stirk and we can use the current Stirk city page.

  • The island page will simply be the Lore version transcluded and will be called Stirk (island).
  • The city page will use the same content that is now on the Stirk page and will be called Stirk (city)
  • Finally, the current Stirk page will become a disambig page for the other two

I have already set up everything in my sandbox, here. In case this gets the 'go-ahead', I will be happy to create the two new pages, the disambig and shift the contents around. --SerCenKing Talk 08:36, 7 April 2009 (EDT)

I'll bow to the views of the TR development team, but I don't think we need this. The inhabitants don't make much of a distinction between the two, and the town takes up most of the island so it seems the two are largely interchangeable. It's similar to Hong Kong up until fairly recently - the Island and the Territory mean the same thing; or how about the Vatican City? –RpehTCE 09:15, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
I don't think it should be split into two articles either. And speaking of the lore page, I don't think it was warranted. See this thread. "There is absolutely no official lore on stirk - except its name on a map. We based our story on indirect bethesda lore, such as the fact that redguards buried their criminals on islands, the sload/anvil war, the aldmeri dominion, etc." So all we developed for Stirk is lore-based, but none of it is official. --Gez 10:50, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
I was going to tidy up the Lore article later, but you're right - it needs a full kill (now done). The only things documented in the Lore space are official lore from the games and, where appropriate, out-of-game lore from developers posting elsewhere. –RpehTCE 10:57, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
