Tes3Mod:Tamriel Rebuilt/Fools that Meddle
- Talk to Norahin Darys at the Telvanni Council House in Port Telvannis.
- Remove Sevroth Teles from the city... one way or another.
- Return to Norahin Darys for your reward.
A Troublesome Priest
Master Vaerin's mouth, Norahin Darys, has a task for you. It seems a priest of the Tribunal Temple named Sevroth Teles has been spreading propaganda in Port Telvannis and it's your task to stop it. Darys mentions that his preference is for Teles to suffer an early death, but cautions you that if you take the violent option, you must do it out of sight of the locals in case the death sparks a diplomatic incident.
Get Out of Town
Sevroth Teles can be found on one of the port's innumerable platforms, just outside the door to Tadora Romyon's house. There are several other people around so killing him discretely requires stealth or a long-distance effort. The other option is to persuade him to leave town.
If you tell him that you don't know why the Telvanni want him dead, then follow up by asking him what will happen to the mer when "Lord Dral descends from his tower", Teles will leave town. Any other series of responses will elicit a refusal, and cause his disposition to drop to 15. In this case, killing him is the only option.
The Rewards of Virtue
If you persuade Teles to leave, Darys is grudgingly grateful and gives you a Bone Guard Belt as a reward, along with two points of Telvanni reputation. If you killed Teles, you get those rewards and an additional 100 gold, plus Darys' disposition towards you jumps by five. If you killed Teles in public, Darys' disposition drops by five and you only gain one point of Telvanni reputation.
