This template produces a notice that can be placed on the top of articles or talk pages.

Parameters

Parameter Scope Description
1 or message required The message to display.
2 or image optional This adds an image to the left of the text. You should include the entire coding for the image you want to transclude. (Default is no image.)
border optional This changes the color of the border around the template. (Default is #CCCCBA.)
border-width optional This changes the width of the border around the template. (Default is 1.)
bgcolor optional This changes the color of the background inside the template. (Default is #FFFFEE.)
align optional Then changes the alignment of the text. (Default is left.)
margin optional This allows you to change the margins around the notice, giving control over notice placement. Uses CSS margin shorthand style. (Default is centered with a bottom margin the same size as the current font height (0 auto 1em auto).)
width optional This changes the width of the message. (Default is 80% of available width.)
clear optional Overrides forcing the message to appear above or below existing tables or images. Options are left, right, both, none, indicating which side(s) should be free of tables and images. (Default is both.)
id optional Enables assignment of element id's, intended for use with Dark Mode to provide alternate colors.
color optional The site-standard color to use. Possible options are: red, pink, blue, cyan, green, yellow, and white. (Defaults to white.)
class optional Any additional CSS classes to apply to the table.
