He is related to him. Listen to Romlyn when he is at the bar in the Bee and Barb talking to Keerava. He will mention that Valen "killed six Imperial Guards before they dragged him into the prisons". He laso states that Valen "fought off the Mythic Dawn when they attacked the Emperor". two house keys

Romlyn Dreth has Romlyn's House Key and Key to Romlyn Dreth's House. Does anyone have any idea why? (Eddie The Head 13:56, 19 January 2012 (UTC))

An error I expect, but "Romlyn's House Key" is the key that actually opens his home. The other key (Key to Romlyn Dreth's House) appears to be useless.174.0.116.189 04:49, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

Recieving stolen goods

Something rather strange happened when I bought a a single bottle of mead from him

Transaction occured no problem, but shortly after I hear combat/magic being casted, and Romlyn Dreth and Guards are hostile and I have 40 Bounty. Anyone else been caught in a Riften sting operation? 123.211.55.99 13:54, 25 December 2012 (GMT)

Cheap mead

Actually, he will continue to sell cheap mead to you with or without marriage to him. Just not sure whether he will continue to sell them if you betray him. In my case I sided with him.

Gives away mead for free

If you have no money on hand but attempt to buy mead from him, the transaction will happen anyway. He doesn't seem to check if you have enough money to buy a bottle. Ejia (talk) 20:34, 10 October 2014 (GMT)

Gift Giving?

I just joined the Thieves Guild, and when I came out of the Ratway, Dreth was coming out of his house. I spoke to him, and instead of entering dialogue, he said something like 'A true friend is a gift indeed.' and gave me some item. When I spoke to him again he entered dialogue as normal. I didn't notice what he gave me, so I reloaded to try again, and this time he just spoke to me as normal, no gift giving. Dunno if this is normal or not, just thought I'd mention it, since there was no mention on his page about it. Obax (talk) 20:49, 3 January 2015 (GMT)
