Rename[edit]

I think this page should be simply "Torygg", and maybe a last name if one is provided. We generally don't put an NPC's title in the title of NPC pages. The same probably goes for the Tullius page. Minor Edits 20:51, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Actually, our primary rule for naming pages is to use the name exactly as it appears in game. And by that rule, both of these pages are named correctly. --NepheleTalk 03:57, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

It makes sense, but it is annoying to be left at the mercy of Bethesda's arbitrary application of NPC character titles.Minor Edits 04:33, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Picture[edit]

How is there a picture of of Torygg? Is this a console thing or is there a mission to go with this? (I have to play it on Xbox so I don't know these things) Skysky 19:19, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

I would also like to know how this picture was acquired Fowl 12:41, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
if you would look at the related quests, you would see the sovangarde quest, you would obviously meet him whilst you're in sovngarde. (Eddie The Head 12:44, 27 November 2011 (UTC))
Wow, I didn't even see him. I don't think the related quest section was there when I asked this. I'll have to look out for him next time I play te main quest. Skysky 00:16, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

murdered or fairy challenged[edit]

Sybille Stentor say something about this - Ulfric come to jarls court/yard and challenge Torygg to duel. This challenge, called on the court/yard, could not be rejected by Torygg, such is in the nords law and custom. Ulfric use "shout" first and then kill Torygg by sword. Boy or man.[edit]

I remember a dialogue in the game about the High King being a "small boy" or something very similar, this seems a very weird thing to say because he is a man, not a boy, could this be possibly worth noting? JackTurbo95 20:09, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

Nah, that was just Ulfric saying that Torygg was more a boy than a real High King, though not literally. Basically, Ulfric thought that Torygg wasn't a strong leader.
Also, doesn't anybody think it's strange that they said Ulfric was present during the Moot when they chose Torygg to be High King, but isn't the Moot made up only of jarls, and didn't Ulfric only become jarl after he killed Torygg? Strundu'ul 14:13, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
No, Ulfric was the Jarl of Windhelm for years prior. Ulfric is older than he looks. Kremlin16 20:54, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
Actually, Proventus Avenicci calls Torygg a "boy" as part of his condemnation of Ulfric, while Irileth has to remind him that Torygg was High King of Skyrim and a man. Lobsel Vith 19:02, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Torygg always spoke about empire this, empire that, revealed by Sayma. For Sayma he was not that good a high king. No wonder those Stormcloak supporters always say that those jarls solely appointed by the empire are puppets and their pockets are full of empire's gold. One would wonder whether those jarls could fend off the possible invasion of Thalmor? Or just surrender to Thalmor easily? Like the way they easily agreed upon the White-Gold Concordat? Some may fight, some like Maven may not fight. Torygg cared too much about his wife Elisif (revealed by someone) even in Sovngarde he still thinks of her. This shows he was weak as High King. Ulfric challenged him because he didn't have the guts to oppose the White-Gold Concordat, and he didn't have the ability to reunite Skyrim. Why Torygg still ended up in Sovrngarde no one knows. Perhaps he died an honourable man. But so as Ulfric if the dragonborn kills Ulfric. Politic is a mess. — Unsigned comment by 175.139.119.27 (talk) at 08:45 on 30 April 2012

clothes[edit]

Can i pickpocket his clothes? (Vvardfell 14:43, 27 March 2012 (UTC))

No you cannot, nor can you pick pocket the clothes from other residents of Sovngarde-Even with the Perfect Touch perk. It would be cool. SlyKhajiit 19:00, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Primary Skills[edit]

Why does it say his primary skill is Two-Handed? Looking at his actor in the CK it appears his primary skills are Smithing, Alchemy and Enchanting and his secondary skills are One-Handed, Archery, Sneak and Speech. His Two-Handed skill is quite low (25 at level 50) --DagmarH (talk) 22:43, 1 February 2013 (GMT)

I guess it's based on the fact that he's fixed at level 1 and his scaled skills are all lower than his Two-Handed at level 1. Are primary skills based on what's the highest value or based on class? --DagmarH (talk) 22:51, 1 February 2013 (GMT)
Yes, it's the fact that he is fixed at level 1 and two-handed is his highest skill there. Details about how the field was filled out by the bot can be found at Skyrim:Classes. --Alfwyn (talk) 23:00, 1 February 2013 (GMT)
