Despite not having any idea that I'm responsible for his being imprisoned, he refuses to talk to me whether on the other side of the bars or on the inside of the cell, stating that the city and it's inhabitants are all corrupt. This is actually quite annoying as I want to finish the quest he gave me beforehand. Bushwhacker 23:19, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Reward

In the article it states that the Spell Tome: Flames is part of the reward. This is incorrect as I have just recieved Spell Tome: Frostbite — Unsigned comment by 86.26.213.94 (talk) at 14:33 on 18 January 2012

I've also got Frostbite. From the Leveled List it appears that you get Flames, Frostbite or Spark. --Killfetzer 14:58, 18 January 2012 (UTC)

On not being to talk to him in jail

First time I tried turning it in I couldn't; second time I could. Only thing that changed was that the first time I was wearing Thieve's Guild armor and the other time I wasn't. Might it be a stretch to guess (for testing) that he sees your armor and knows the thieves guild screwed him over? --Catmaniac66 (talk) 15:54, 13 December 2012 (GMT)

Items in Haelga's Bunkhouse

"If you complete this quest when in Haelga's Bunkhouse, then almost all of items there will be free to take, despite not belonging to Brand-Shei." I'm changing this in the notes. I think it is misworded. Console fix for jail bug

I ran across the bug of Brand-shei refusing to talk to me after being jailed. The console code player.setstage FreeFormRiften08 200 finished the quest, gave him the journal, and gave me the key to his strong box, plus he now talks to me like a person again.
