Attunement Sphere

I don't recall exactly where it is, but there is an Attunement Sphere in Alftand someplace, lying on a table. It was reached via the glacial passages, but what I don't know is if that area is accessible before you get one of the two quests that lead there. I already had the one from Septimus before I went in; now I have two. At least they are weightless, because I cannot drop them. --QuillanTalk 19:08, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

There's another next to the body of Sinderion. 124.170.15.129 09:04, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
In fact, since there seems to be three spheres and three entrances, I'm guessing that the spheres were supposed to be - or used to be - consumed when opening one of the entrances. 124.170.15.129 10:36, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Mystery switches

On the outer wall of the large castle-like structure that contains the false sun and the Debate Hall etc, there are two ledges with a single switch each. Maybe I'm just not very observant, but I can't seem to work out what they do... 124.170.15.129 10:41, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

They're for a couple of gates to that area. 24.156.216.144 07:34, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Dragon?

This is a dumb question, but I was told there is a dragon somewhere down here. Is that true? — Unsigned comment by 68.37.234.19 (talk) at 08:14 on 27 November 2011

Yep; it's mentioned in the article somewhere, but you have to hit the "sun" (the big orange light) with a shout. Also, if you remain hidden, and have already bumped off all the local Falmer & servants, the dragon will eventually land on the road outside the walls and can be snuck up on - or at least, that's what happened for me. 124.170.15.129 21:12, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
At least, I hit it with a shout - I shot at it with arrows, too, but that didn't do anything. Nevertheless, there might be some other way of making it ring. 124.170.15.129 21:14, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
You have to use Unrelenting Force on the sun. 24.156.216.144 07:32, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
How is it revealed in-game how to summon the dragon, or is it an easter egg? 70.112.232.71 06:29, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Dwemer Capital City

The official Prima game guide refers to Blackreach as "The dwarves' capital city" (pg. 629) rather than just a cavern. It also calls it a "great subterranean metropolis" in the next sentence. Should the article be changed to mention this?76.181.75.250 06:01, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

I thought Red Mountain was the capital city of the dwarves. It sounds like one of those standard fare prima errors... — Unsigned comment by 173.3.59.86 (talk) on January 13, 2012 00:01
A number of books in-game indicate that the Dwemer living outside of Morrowind were largely separate from those in Morrowind government-wise. Judging from how vast Blackreach is as far as individual ruins and partictularly unique things like the debate hall, imitation sun, and the Elder Scroll reading Oculory in the Tower of Mzark; I'd say that it was the closest thing to a Dwarven capital in Skyrim. It's also the most strategic place to have such a thing.--Playerseekingbugs 06:31, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
I don't think we can trust Prima when it comes to things like that. It might be worth noting in the article, but we shouldn't take it as official. —Legoless 14:51, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
I wouldn't trust Prima on topics that are more just up for debate among fans than anything. I'm just saying that the in-game lore hints at possibilities. Same reason I believe the Ebony Blade being untemperable should be in the bugs section, not possibly explained away by lore farther up the page. Lore is lore. The loading screen, on the other hand, are tips on actual stuff in the game, and one such tip says that all armor and weapons are temperable. What you cannot temper is bugged, simple as that.--Playerseekingbugs 07:44, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

Corundum from Geode Veins

Is this really a bug? I assumed it was normal behavior that geode veins sometimes give soul gems and other times give metal ore and other precious stones. There's no way to verify it since the Construction Set isn't out yet. 50.129.209.215 15:28, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

I would think it is a bug as there are in fact Corundum Ore Vein's for mining Corundum. Kimi the Elf 16:28, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Kimi, your edit to the notes section of the blackreach page is incorrect, please stop changing it. Thanks. — Unsigned comment by Kriskaress (talkcontribs) on 31 December 2011
It seems very unlikely that the contents of geode veins is leveled, but I've put a {{VN}} tag on this for now. It needs proper checking, but please stop edit warring over this - both of you. rpeh •TCE 17:36, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
I am going by things I've heard, but regardless of whether the contents are leveled or not, Kimi needs to stop changing the info back to their excruciatingly imprecise version. These pages are created to help players, not mislead them to the point that they don't even attempt to explore the contents of the geode veins, which would probably be the result of Kimi's information considering that corundum ore is not overly useful. — Unsigned comment by Kriskaress (talkcontribs) at 17:50 on 31 December 2011
What edit war I don't keep changing anything? I only edited the information once and when it was undone I left it until it can be confirmed with CK ... Kimi the Elf 17:45, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Geode Veins

The Geode Veins here sometimes give Black Soul gems closer to where Sinderion's Labratory is. However the ones closer to the "Sun" location seem to give Corundum which is useless as an ingot but mixed with iron makes steel.--50.135.173.245 05:45, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Corundum Ingots aren't *entirely* useless- they're used in Smithing to upgrade certain items (Dragon Priest Masks, among others). However, I generally don't bother with ores that aren't Iron, Silver, Gold, or Ebony, as Smithing other materials is rather wasteful by comparison- compare a Dwarven Dagger (needs Leather Strips, Dwarven Metal, Iron, AND Steel) to an Ebony Dagger (just Leather Strips and Ebony). 209.66.120.3 21:28, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Storm Call?

Oddly enough, I attempted to use the Storm Call shout while inside the Blackreach and it successfully initiated a thunderstorm INSIDE THE CAVE. — Unsigned comment by 95.154.168.20 (talk) at 21:32 on 10 December 2011

Blackreach's weather pattern can change at random to, say, a blizzard as well. This seems to indicate that Blackreach counts as an outside area. As such, I'm not surprised Storm Call works down there. Narzul 14:37, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
I also have noticed that as a Vampire during the day I was still affected by the sunlight despite being in a cave, perhaps this is also related? Kimi the Elf 15:57, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
I would assume that since the Dwemer were capable of making an artificial sun, they did more than just install a giant lightbulb. More likely, they tapped into a conduit/rift with Aetherius, or AKA the sun, where, "the gods are supposed to reside," or really, where magicka comes from. Therefore, it is more than probable that the sun is, literally, a portion of the sun, and therefore self-sustained within itself, not wholly in reality, but also serving as a cage to study Vultheryol, the poor guy. Gets out of a hundred-thousand year imprisonment just to be killed off by the Dragonborn. But still: The Sun is a Sun, and allows a connection with Sky to me made, thus allowing storm call to be viable. — Unsigned comment by 68.115.73.25 (talk) at 20:39 on 3 July 2013 (GMT)

Needs a map

A full annotated map of Blackreach with locations of all ore veins, Crimson Nirnroots and other points of interest might be nice. --85.131.79.92 14:15, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

It might be. I've been counting ore veins and atm I'm up to 22 Geode, 5 Corundum, 2 Orichalcum, 2 Ebony, 1 Quicksilver, and thats JUST in the main blackreach area, and I'm not done going through it yet. 24.19.59.112 22:25, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
We need to count the 'bugged' geode veins, too. I think there are 3 or 4, all giving corrindum. As for the nirnroot, I remember finding 36. That will take some time to give the exact location for all those things 82.243.194.53 01:29, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
I've just gone through and found 39 Crimson Nirnroot (probably 40, though), 24 geode, 3 quicksilver, 13 corundum, 2 moonstone, 2 gold, 4 ebony, 3 orichalum and 7 geode/corundum. This is including all areas in Blackreach. I'm going to go through again once more with a torch. Melleh17 05:17, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
I found a few more veins and up to 41 Nirnroot. I think the ore table should be left marked as incomplete until someone can update or confirm the numbers. Melleh17 05:34, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
can someone get on this? ive made several runs through blackreach detailing locations of veins, automatons, and treasure chests but i dont really have the software to compile the map. — Unsigned comment by 75.172.36.116 (talk) at 18:58 on 26 December 2011

() I've made this map (in German) with some program used for our interactive map. I could change the annotations to English. --Killfetzer 07:07, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Ore table

It seems only 5 ore types can be listed at a time on the page. Perhaps only the most abundant types should be listed there unless that can be changed. If not I think there should be a complete list elsewhere on the page, perhaps in Notes until we can get a walkthrough type of thing for them. I'll do that now with the number of ores I have found (I'm pretty sure I found them all). Melleh17 18:17, 25 December 2011 (UTC)

I guess the template can be expanded; not necessarily ideal, but we should strive to include all of them in the summary. elliot (talk) 04:56, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
Okay, should work up to 7 now. elliot (talk) 05:04, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
Great, thanks. Melleh17 05:27, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

Mzinchaleft Gatehouse?

I was looking through the list of locations within Blackreach and noticed this wasn't included. Granted it's only a small empty room, but should be it be included for completeness? 90.221.82.47 17:17, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Mining Black Soul Gems - Leveled

I was under level 30 while in Blackreach, and mined one black soul gem. I would imagine this means it is a random, rather than leveled, occurrence. Melleh17 21:28, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

I can confirm this, I was level 24 and walked out with one Black Soul Gem. --Mikeyy 06:28, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
Level 28 and I can also confirm you'll occasionally get Black Soul Gems. Specter 12:45, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

() A user removed the note about Black Soul Gems being found beginning at level 31. I reverted and added a vn tag. Can somebody please check the CK or CSlist and clarify this? --Xyzzy 05:30, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

I can't find any reason for it in the Construction Kit, but testing it in-game, I was able to get a Black Soul Gem at level 30. I wasn't able to do it in the Silent City Catacombs, which the game considers an interior (level 31 was clearly the limit there, just as it appears to be in the CK), but in the exterior ones (all the rest, I think), Black Soul Gems were possible at somewhat lower levels. I'll keep looking into it, but right now, I'm stymied. Robin Hoodtalk 04:06, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
A little more data, though still nothing in terms of understanding: with a character who had never mined anything before (just to be sure), I was able to start getting Lesser Soul Gems at level 5. As you can see on this list, which is quite clearly the one that should be used based on the code, Lesser shouldn't be available until level 8. My only guess at this point is that it's related to the "Special Loot" checkbox, which is ticked for this list. Unfortunately, the LeveledItem page on the Creation Kit site isn't exactly helpful. Robin Hoodtalk 00:27, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
Level 21, so far I've mined 2 Black Soul Gems in Blackreach, also gotten a few Grand Soul Gems. --Pigl33t 19:57, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
At level 55, I walked out with 10 Black Soul Gems. I thought I was getting one in each geode vein, but the starting getting only smaller ones. I got 2 blacks and a grand in one vein. — Unsigned comment by 75.132.209.72 (talk) at 00:57 on 10 February 2013 (GMT)

() Well, I did investigation on that "special loot" flag (see here). I did some further tests with a chest containing a list with 10k instances of the LItemSoulGemEmptySpecial list. The results for different player levels are:

Level 5 Level 10 Level 15 Level 16 Level 20 Level 25
Petty 9699 5171 4243 3803 2996 2539
Lesser 301 4539 4278 3917 2960 2474
Common 290 1256 1921 3056 2455
Greater 223 330 656 1776
Grand 22 229 501
Black 7 103 255

Like the general tests have indicated, we can get Black Soul Gems at about half the level, but only with a very small chance. Now I don't know how to document this. We could just change the level 31 to level 16 (since they start to appear there). I did that for when ore ingots can be bought from merchants. But it might not be that useful an info after all, since the chance is only about 0.07% . Can we document the levels found in the list in any useful way? They don't indicate when gems will appear to start, but rather define the probability distribution used for handing them out. But anyway, as currently documented the values are just wrong. As observed by many people before and this tests show, Black Soul Gems appear before level 31. --Alfwyn (talk) 19:29, 23 February 2014 (GMT)

Accesible from outside

is this place accessible from the outside? 68.231.197.3 00:30, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

No. One of the most direct ways inside is from the Lift at Alftand, once you unlock it from within Alftand. Melleh17 04:17, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
ok so its in the outer area of Alftand? or inside? 68.231.197.3 00:30, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
The elevator is first made usable from within Alftand. The elevator leads up to the surface around Alftand, and can then be accessed from the surface. It is useful to do the related Main Quest so you have quest markers to show your way around Alftand and into Blackreach. Melleh17 02:55, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

shadowmare + Great Lift at Mzinchaleft == crash

needs confirming: riding shadowmare into the lift, hopping off hitting switch then hopping back on causes the game to freeze, hitting action causes load screen to fire then crash (was trying to take horse into blackreach) — Unsigned comment by 70.184.229.18 (talk) at 07:13 on 10 January 2012

the game really cant seem to make up its mind if this is "inside" or "outside". it hurts vampires, you can jack with the weather, but apparently you cant call odahviing with your call dragon shout (was attempting to cause a dragon on dragon battle odahviing vs Vulthuryol) — Unsigned comment by 70.184.229.18 (talk) at 14:56 on 10 January 2012

Reliable, Repeatable Daylight

The way I trigger daylight in Blackreach reliably (and repeatably) is:

  • Go into Blackreach via any means and head to the Mzinchaleft Great Lift.
  • If necessary wait until daytime (past 7am).
  • Trigger the lift to the surface
  • Immediately trigger the lift back down to Blackreach
  • Run up the hill to Mzinchaleft Gatehouse
  • Enter the door
  • Exit the door

Voila! Blackreach in all its silent glory. — Unsigned comment by 210.84.3.115 (talk) at 13:48 on 12 January 2012

Does this have to be done hastely? 75.25.61.1 13:31, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
Just saying, this can also be done with Tower of Mzark (just enter the tower, don't have to go outside). So I assume this glitch works if one exit and reenter Blackreach in a short time span.--AtrumVentus 12:23, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Glitch when Using Great Lift to return to Blackreach

I returned to BlackReach Via the Great Lift of Raldbthar and my game proceeded to repeatedly travel to blackreach, overwriting all my autosaves. Had to remove the DVD from my xbox to get this to stop. Luckily once I got my autosave turned off the multiple fast travels went a lot faster and eventually ended. — Unsigned comment by 119.225.160.124 (talk) at 13:11 on 14 January 2012

The Great lifts close again after leaving Blackreach?

From reading some of the entries here I was lead to believe once you entered BR and used and opened the lifts from the various Dwemer ruins you were then able to use the lifts again from outside and return rather than messing around going into a ruin proper again but all of the lifts I opened from inside have closed again and the doors can't be used. Is this universal and I've mis-read or is it a fault with my game? — Unsigned comment by The Source (talkcontribs) at 16:04 on 17 January 2012

I finished the quest and went so far as to get the Oghma Infinium and the sphere was still in my inventory, so if it is just your game that is bugged and the stairs to Blackreach are also closed, you can go through one of the three ruins to reach the bottom once again (Using the sphere to open the hidden stairwells). --Mikeyy 06:43, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
The "Great Lifts" and Tower of Mzulft areas above ground do seem to reset (as does Blackreach itself in fact, made getting 30 crimson nirnroot pretty easy when I could recollect ones I already had gotten), which will force you to go through one of the dungeons, either repeating, or just go down another one. 68.44.254.146 00:05, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
All the lifts I activated are still open to the surface, though Blackreach never respawned for me. -Melleh17 02:57, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

Secret waterfall cavern?

I was exploring blackreach when I discovered the waterfall area. I tied going through one of them just for fun and for a second I saw through it and it looked like there was a cave r "hall" behind it. IT would be cool if it were possible to get there. Does anyone know anything about this? If not,t hat's cool too. It's the one right behind the random door on the lake that just has a lift. — Unsigned comment by Beykakua (talkcontribs) at 19:26 on 22 January 2012

I checked behind all the waterfalls using the tcl command on the console, the two behind the door to the pumphouse really have a small space between the falling water and the cave wall, but there's no extended cave behind them or anything of the sort.--201.1.68.112 20:30, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Weird glitch with the Centurions

Activated two of the centurions while in stealth and then whacked them with the ebony blade. Neither attacked, but just followed me around blackreach. Took one to the silent city and the falmer and falmer slaves attacked but the centurion didn't fight back. Can someone try to duplicate this? I've had a very similar glitch happen, but with random civilians I was attacking. Basically, it's a one-off, in which the game gets confused and sets them as your followers. In my case, they broke their trance after I attacked a bunch of their friends (i.e. in the same faction), but it happened repeatedly. • JATalk 07:16, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Great Lift At Alftand (in Blackreach) Locked?

location

Where is blackreach geographically located? Based on where the 3 entrance ruins are located, i would have to guess its hundreds to thousands of feet underground, because it has to be underneath Lake Yorgrim, but someone correct me if im wrong.--Planetjohn12 23:43, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Someone who can use the tools and data in the pc version to check might be able to provide an answer, but since Blackreach is basically a giant dungeon to the game, it has it's own cell and is not literally underneath the main outdoor area of Skyrim. You could not reach it using tcl, basically. It's odd that it's considered 'outside' despite being a massive cave dungeon. The typical dungeon music plays when you're in there if I recall correctly. There may be notes in the game data or something that specify how deep below the surface the cave is supposed to be, but probably not.--Playerseekingbugs 06:55, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

From the College, Skytemple Ruins can be seen on the compass. Once there Septimus Signus's Outpost will appear on the compass. Help with bug finding.

This is not really Blackreach related, but it was the only place I could consistently duplicate the CTD. Looking for help on how to diagnose the likely problem.

Bear with me, lots of details to hopefully diagnose the problem.

I would CTD when I got near the large fort and was spotted from the walls. The crash would come seemingly randomly (took 15sec to 45sec after being spotted) and only when I approached from certain directions. I would also CTD during the Wispmother encounter. Randomly...either immediatly after the wisps turned aggressive or shortly in the fight there-after.

However, I found that for the 'fort' if I would charge in and kill everything...no problem. And for the wisp mother I found if I 'pulled' them (mother and all) I would not crash....until...

There was a solitary spot, near (but not including) the "Silent Ruin" door, that if I entered would cause the CTD. Now what I figured with my earlier CTD was that a mob was entering that area and causing the same thing. In the case of the fort, going inside the walls allowed them to come to me without going around, and in case of the wispmother...I was pulling the mobs away from that 'dead' area.

Now I'm not too sure how local map filling in works...but it seems to work in somewhat circular chunks...and it almost seems like this area (which was black, since I couldn't enter it) was triggering something that...well didn't work. I at first thought it was a visual thing, something that was rendering wrong (before I figured out the mobs were triggering it). But as I flew around, as long as I kept a safe distance (40ish ft.) I could see everything. As soon as I stepped in the area, at any height, it would crash.

I have mods, but I assume 99% of them would have not effect on Blackreach or items in it...and since it doesn't appear to be an object rendering issue, I'm amiss as to what the culprit mod could be. So my question is...does anyone know what 'kind' of error this probably is. It seems odd because anything worthy of interaction, a door nearby and a gem (forgot the name) vein VERY close to the dead zone work fine. There doesn't appear to be anything there or from a visual style sense...appear that there would be anything there that's could be missing.

Also it's not 100%, I've come back days later with no problems in that area...but instead a different area takes on the same 'hostility' no where close-by. Also, have not had problems above ground at all and I have walked to most locations. Dctrjons (talk) 21:57, 16 November 2012 (GMT)

Vampirism and Blackreach

There are notes in the main article and this talk page that say that vampires suffer from the sun while in Blackreach during the day. My vampire character doesn't. I'm using USKP and Dawnguard, but there's no documentation for this sort of fix in USKP, and I haven't shut down the sun. --Darth l33t (talk) 21:32, 19 November 2012 (GMT)

It looks like that was changed in some patch (1.6?). There is a list of "outside" worldspaces that are excepted from Sun Damage now. Dawnguard adds a few more to that list in it's init quest like the Soul Cairn. --Alfwyn (talk) 16:30, 22 November 2012 (GMT)

Maps for massive 'outdoor' areas

Blackreach, Forgotten Vale, and the Soul Cairn could all benefit from completely detailed maps just like the one for Skyrim. The latter two locations (especially the vale) have made good steps in this direction. I would like to suggest moving more in that direction for this location as well. It would be especially useful for remembering/finding Crimson Nirnroot locations precisely, as well as Geode veins and other veins.--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 00:39, 20 November 2012 (GMT)

I offered exactly such a map in May 2012 and never got an answer. So this became forgotten till today. I've just translated my German map and uploaded it. --Killfetzer (talk) 21:13, 27 January 2013 (GMT)
Nice. You have forgotten to fully translate Tower of Mzark, though, (marked Turm of Mzark on the map) but that is just details. I think you have done a good job! —MortenOSlash (talk) 21:18, 27 January 2013 (GMT)
Thanks for the hint. I will fix this. --Killfetzer (talk) 21:22, 27 January 2013 (GMT)
Thank you very much for the highly informative map.--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 06:05, 28 January 2013 (GMT)

Snowing in Blackreach

Was going around picking Crimson Ninroot for the related quest. I went and discovered the Great Lift at Mzinchaleft, then went back to Blackreach. Everything was fine. Then, went into the Mzinachaleft Gatehouse Northwest from the Great Lift, entered and saw that I couldn't progress from there. Returned to Blackreach with it snowing, complete with wind sounds and flurries. No idea what happened. This happened on PS3. -Breetastic (talk) 00:11, 5 June 2013 (GMT)

This is already noted in the Bugs section. --Xyzzy Talk 06:37, 5 June 2013 (GMT)

Centurions seem Smaller

Is it just me, or do the centurions in Blackreach somewhat smaller than the ones in normal Dwarven ruins? — Unsigned comment by ‎ 71.183.193.20 (talk) at 00:20 on 25 October 2013

I've never noticed it, and I can't think of a good reason for it. The best way to check it would be to get RefIDs for a centurion in Blackreach and one somewhere else and see if they have different scales by using the getscale command in the console, or comparing them in the game data with the CK or CSList. --Xyzzy Talk 01:41, 25 October 2013 (GMT)

Invisible Wall by the Tower of Mzark

Ok, this is going to take a little explaining... Coming from the door to the lift that takes you into the Tower of Mzark, go down the stairs then right down another double flight of stairs until you get to a set of 3 steps with a separation. Now, at the bottom of these, turn around and go up the right hand side of them. Can't do it? Well neither can I! There seems to be a strange "wall" that, when you run into it, makes you judder back and forth so you have to go around the left of it. You can also jump over it. Is it connected to the little waterfall next to it? I say that because when you're going down that side you suddenly speed up, as if you're being pushed down the waterfall. This effect only spans half the width and the full depth of those three stairs, and is not corrected by exiting and re-entering or reloading. I can't remember if this has happened on other characters, but is certainly a permanent thing in this one. I'm on Xbox so can't check the construction kit to see what might be causing it, but if anyone else can confirm the glitch it might be worth putting it on the page. Crimson Nirnroot freezing glitch

Although this may be different for you, I've attempted to collect all but 5 left of Crimson Nirnroot plants, and then when I would go about trying to look for the rest, the game would freeze (PS3 version). It may have just been the way I had my game set up, or maybe it was because of the fact that I dropped the game a few times in the past, scratching it up in the process (I'm in a wheelchair, guys. Give me a break), but after trying and trying numerous times to get to - like the last 5+ Crimson Nirnroot, the game would freeze and I'd have to turn off the PS3 system, and back on, to see about obtaining the rest of the yet un-obtained Crimson Nirnroot. Ever happen to you guys ? — Unsigned comment by Wheelman 23 (talkcontribs) at 03:14 on 6 August 2014 (GMT)

Irkngthand

According to the book Dwemer Inquiries Vol. III, Irkngthand had a entrance to Blackreach once. Though no entrance exists now, Irkngthand is right over Blackreach and could plausibly have had an entrance in the past. Should this be included in the article?172.12.96.55 03:50, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Metal Ore Vein Map + Counts

While making a map (adapting from Killfetzer's) which shows the location of metal ore veins I conducted a fairly extensive search of Blackreach but was unable to locate all the veins listed in the table. I've been there a couple times for ore and on those occasions I kept I've always come up short. At the moment I'm one short on both Orichalcum and Moonstone, and I've been unable to find any of the three silver veins promised. Not sure if I've just missed them or if the counts in the table are off. I've added the map in either case, but if anyone wanted to double check I'd appreciate either confirmation or the locations of the ones I've missed so I can update the map. --FitzChivalry (talk) 11:05, 9 August 2016 (UTC)

The numbers came from the game data, but in other places the ore counts included unreachable cells so they were removed from the count. The silver veins count was added by the user who did them all so I don't doubt her numbers, just whether they can be reached. Tellingly though, the veins are absent from the Silver page.
