essential[edit]

Why is he essential? Is it for the gather wheat quest? --(Tiger8u2 07:16, 9 January 2012 (UTC))

I just killed him, he's not essential (Eddie The Head 07:44, 9 January 2012 (UTC))

Involved in a quest[edit]

While I was going for the bounty-in-every-hold achievement (and was slaughtering my way through every keep to do so) I had just cleaned up in Markarth and fast traveled to Morthal when a courier approached me. He gave me a letter that said Azzada wanted to reward me for killing Omulag, one of the miners in markarth. — Unsigned comment by 75.34.55.137 (talk) at 08:03 on 29 January 2012 (GMT)

Omluag of Markarth will dispatch a courier for Dragonborn upon killing Azzada Lylvieve. — Unsigned comment by 69.209.208.103 (talk) at 11:27 on 29 January 2012 (GMT)

Coincidence?[edit]

It says in his description he was saved by someone named logrolf. Is this the same logrolf mentioned in the house of horrors quest or a completely different one? — Unsigned comment by 129.44.174.102 (talk) at 21:26 on 6 March 2013‎

I'd say coincidence. He describes Logrolf the Bent as "an old warrior", meaning he was old at the time, when Azzada was just a kid. Azzada has since grown up and has a kid of his own. In that amount of time, his Logrolf would probably be dead by now. Also, Logrolf the Willful isn't a warrior, he's a priest. It's possible he got too old to swing a sword and joined the priesthood later in life, but again, he'd have to be really old by now... The only counter-argument I can think of is that they're both in Markarth, so maybe, but it's a bit of a stretch. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 22:41, 6 March 2013 (GMT)
Bear in mind that he is a priest of Boethiah - whose servants tend to be warrior-priests anyway (eg. like in Boethiah's Calling) - so I wouldn't be too surprised if it were the same person, particularly since Logrolf the Willful has had plenty of business in Markarth before. Of course, we've got no way of ever actually knowing! 86.138.125.32 20:48, 16 March 2013 (GMT)
The dialogue that was recently added seems to push the coincidence even further, with this story about a haunted house... -- Elakyn (talk) 15:48, 16 April 2013 (GMT)

Body Won't Disappear[edit]

Azzada may not be essential, but his body is - it just hangs around where he was killed. A dragon attacked Dragon Bridge when I was there once, and it managed to kill both Azzada and his wife Michel. Both of their bodies are still lying in the street where they fell. I feel kinda sad about Clinton, it's like he doesn't even know he's an orphan, but at least he still has his older sister - for now. --Chocoholic (talk) 17:17, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Are you sure it is not just that you revisit the area to often for it to reset? —MortenOSlash (talk) 06:05, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure how long it takes for a settlement to reset, but I do remember that when I visited Dragon Bridge and noticed that the bodies were still laying in the street that all the crops, chicken nests, and flowers had respawned. If harvestable items in the world area are an indication that the area has reset, then I think it can be said that Dragon Bridge had reset when I noticed that the bodies for whatever reason had remained. Whether the bodies remaining is just a glitch on this one game file, I can't say for certain, but I do know that I have come across another body of a non-essential NPC that remains after an area has reset. In Windhelm, the beggar Angrenor Once-Honored has a habit of going after vampires that occasionally attack the city when I travel there. And of course he dies very quickly, but his body remains even after the area has reset, and if his body has been reanimated due to a spell either I or my follower casts, then the pile of ashes that was Angrenor's body will remain where it fell permanently. --Chocoholic (talk) 03:32, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
