Radiant Quest[edit]

I took off the following from the walkthrough:

"(Optional) Talk to the Windhelm Blacksmith, who asks you to retrieve Queen Freydis's sword from Ansilvund."

Oengul's quest is a part of a radiant group, and will not always send you to Ansilvund (In my case, it was Cragwallow Slope). Not only that, but it is in no way related to this quest, location aside. — Unsigned comment by 24.247.177.201 (talk) at 01:06 on 17 January 2012

Ansilvund (quest)[edit]

Should one assume this quest is added upon entering the appropriate dungeon/zone? — Unsigned comment by Landomatic (talkcontribs) at 08:03 on 1 February 2013

The quest actually activates a while into the dungeon, but including the first part of the dungeon is appropriate. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:53, 1 February 2013 (GMT)

Ansilvund[edit]

I've gotten to the part where I'm supposed to rotate the stones to reveal a bird, a snake, a whale and another snake, but I can't activate the stones. I killed the conjurer there and the frost atronach. I tried picking up the books and moving the stones, I tried moving the stones without the books. I've tried reloading from the beginning of the cave. Nothing works. Help? Maybe it's just a glitch I need to come to terms with? — Unsigned comment by 174.236.230.21 (talk) at 20:38 on 14 May 2013

"Spoiler"[edit]

At least as far as I remember, the player doesn't learn that Lu'ah's husband was a soldier in the Imperial Legion until reading Imperial Condolences. All the things she says, and her journal, seem to imply that he was somehow killed unjustly by the Empire, rather than that he died honorably fighting for the Empire. This article, however, says, "According to the journal, Saeel died fighting for the Empire against the Thalmor twenty-five years ago." Her journal actually says nothing about that, and even Imperial Condolences doesn't specifically mention the Thalmor or a date (though it's clear that it's referring to the Battle of the Red Ring). Maybe the article should be changed a bit to reflect this. 50.53.20.79 00:14, 1 January 2014 (GMT)

There is a date on the note, 4E 175, and "from the Aldmeri" is pretty conclusive seeing as the Thalmor control the 3rd iteration of the Dominion. How any of this makes this a spoiler I'm not sure as we aim to provide information, not hide it. The only thing that needs amended is the 25 years part as it was actually 26 years. Kill Lu'ah without fighting[edit]

I'm not sure if this is noteworthy but I haven't found it in the main article or in the article about Ansilvund, so I'd like to mention it here. When you enter the chamber in which Lu'ah is, it is possible to kill Lu'ah from afar (for example thanks to sneaking and a bow) before she notices you and rises Fjori and Holgeir. This way you miss her final speech / monologue but the fight is much easier because it practically doesn't happen. The bodies of Fjori and Holgeir collapse immediately and the non-hostile ghosts appear and grant you Ghostblade. 93.91.51.153 10:58, 27 June 2017 (GMT)

Sometimes the quest won't begin and Luah will be nonhostile when met. Her staff can be pickpocketed before engaging her in combat, making for a very easy fight. However she will not drop her key when killed during the bugged encounter. — Unsigned comment by 116.68.84.152 (talk) at 05:22 on 19 July 2022 (UTC)
