Do they even exist?[edit]

I have played Skyrim a lot but I have never actually seen an Alpha wolf. Has anybody else actually seen one in-game? Even if they do exist do they really need their own page? Thanks.RIM 18:13, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

I'm wondering the same thing... ABCface 02:49, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
From my memory I believe this can be found in a bandit fort that's being used as a sort of wolf fight betting place with a ring and all, did it ages ago and can't even remember what the fort was called. (Eddie The Head 04:38, 26 March 2012 (UTC))
I think your right but it seems like its another case of one the bot creating a page because there is a guaranteed location. Check out Snow Bear. The should be merged with the normal wolf page (imo). The Silencer 04:46, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Could be either Cragslane Cavern or White River Watch. The former is the betting place, and the latter has a wolf in a cage that you can release to fight the bandits there. --Gaebrial 12:31, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
I'll check them out ASAP. I've been to White river more recently and I'm almost 100% sure it's a wolf so I'll check Cragslane first. (Eddie The Head 12:45, 26 March 2012 (UTC))
Nope and nope, Cragslane wasn't the one I remembered though, the one I remembered was a fort, larger than the cavern and full of dog meat if that rings a bell? Theres a note from the Bandit chef mentioning how he started cooking the dead dogs/wolves for the bandits because they stopped raiding people and just kept betting on the ring. Faldar's Tooth.

() Now that mystery is solved, back to the alpha wolf. There's only one place that can be found, and that's in the E3 Demo. According to the CK, the only instance of this creature is on the road just outside Riverwood, near to Embershard Mine. But it's got a parent of 'E3demoMarker', which is disabled. --Gaebrial 18:37, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Okay, sorry, but I'm not understanding the technical parts of what you're saying... "parent of 'E3demoMarker', which is disabled" - what does that mean exactly? Does that mean that there's no chance of encountering the Alpha Wolf in normal gameplay at all? If that's the case, the page should be deleted, right? Or updated to state that it can't be encountered in the game? And if it means something else, can you clarify? Sorry for the trouble. ABCface 01:20, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Precisely. The Alpha Wolf won't appear in the game unless its parent object - the E3demoMarker - is enabled, either using the CK or the in-game console. It's obviously one of a number of objects in the game that were set up purely for the demo at E3 last year. --Gaebrial 07:18, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
So would it be better to delete the page entirely, or to add a note to the page explaining that? ABCface 12:19, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
I figure that we should leave it until the Creatures page and other related pages are sorted out so we can add a table to it with all creatures that don't appear in-game, like here. (Eddie The Head 12:37, 4 April 2012 (UTC))

Add Alpha Wolf to the list of Unused Creatures[edit]

I took the liberty of adding the Alpha Wolf to the Unused Creatures page, along with all the information both on the page itself and from this talk page. 2.126.38.116 14:16, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
