Useful?[edit]

If he's following Mjoll around, can he be useful in combat? 95.206.24.148 11:52, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

No, he's extremely weak. One hit from anything that's remotely powerful will drop him. — Unsigned comment by 114.77.166.185 (talk) at 08:10 on 15 February 2012

Aerins A Theif??[edit]

I once dropped my nightengale armor in my house in riften, so I could display it out on my bed. As soon as I did Aerin asks me (in paraphrase) "oh thats nice armor, its I would love a chance to have it if you didnt want it" then it gives you the option to give or not. I said no naturally, and he then warns to "not leave it lyring around.... it may .... dissapear...". I tried to look up what happens but I havent seen anything. Any help? Nope, this is a scripted event that randomly happens with City NPCs, try dropping a weapon in a marketplace or cast a healing spell on yourself to trigger some other ones. --81.102.131.70 14:21, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Found him travelling alone through Reach[edit]

Finally he seems to have left Rifton alone, i found him travelling in Reach killing some mudcrabs. He then continued and ran straight into a Foresworn Camp, where he got instantly killed. He better should have stayed at home.

oblivion connection[edit]

does anyone know if he is in some way related to the Aerin referenced in Oblivion. There is an Aerin's camp and he was supposed to be a master trainer in acrobatics, and if im right he wasnt there apparently he had relocated. To skyrim? Dovahreid 19:22 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Very unlikely considering the timeline and he is an imperial, also he is warrior class, and a master acrobat would surely be scout class. And last it's his first name, and first names are common. The Silencer has spoken 19:28, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Ive just looked carefully and found that there was also an Aerin in Morrowind, a Bosmer thief. And also that the Aerin in Oblivion was a woman. Thanks anyway. Dovahreid 19:36 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Could probably just chalk it up to Aerin being a common name, just like Erin/Aaron. --Velyanthe►Talk►Email 19:51, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Aerin gives charity[edit]

I encountered it once that Aerin gave a coin to Edda, a beggar in Riften. They had conversation. Aerin is the only NPC to do that so far. — Unsigned comment by 175.143.244.56 (talk) on 28 April 2012

Why is he in my house?[edit]

So I marry Mjoll the Lioness and we go to her house, where Aerin also lives (?), so I ask Mjoll to move to my Breezehome (since, you know, I don't want Aerin in my house ). As soon as we get to Whiterun, I find him, like two feet behind Mjoll, following her. What the heck?! To get him out of my house I have tried killing him several times, but Mjoll always knows and then gets mad at me, even when she's in a different room of my house and I am sneaking. How do I get him out of my house? — Unsigned comment by 24.251.129.58 (talk) at 18:29 on 25 June 2012

check [1]: make mjoll your companion, tell her to wait, then he will leave the town (probably to riften). You can kill him on his way. I just tried that and killed him outside windhelm (and threw him down the bridge..) MriDar 11:52, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Aerin talking to himself[edit]

So, I married Mjoll, and had her move into Honeyside with me, and because of the Unofficial Skyrim patch, Aerin no longer ends up with her.As a result of this, he's walking around Riften saying the lines he would normally say to Mjoll, but Mjoll's not there to respond. As a result, it looks like Aerin's gone crazy. Schiffy (talk) 21:05, 28 November 2012 (GMT)

Aerin Stalker[edit]

I got Mjoll as a follower and we marched on Solitude, where she died. Then later, inside Honeyside (Because I married Mjoll) Aerin was there, even though Mjoll was dead. Aerin was talking to a blank chair like she was there. What the heck?

Mjoll is permanently essential, so can't die, making your story impossible. 172.12.96.180 05:17, 7 April 2013 (GMT)
LOL! Maybe he used a mod or command to make her unessential.

Aerin's Schedule[edit]

So Aerin follows Mjoll around all day, acting like a faithful housecarl even though Mjoll is not technically a Thane. But if you take Mjoll as a follower, what happens to Aerin's schedule? Does he just go back home and sit around waiting for Mjoll to return? If you take Mjoll as a follower then dismiss her later does it screw up his regular schedule of following her around? The page talks about what happens to Aerin if you marry Mjoll or make her a Blade, but nothing about what happens to him if she is just your follower. 71.171.112.31 07:25, 26 September 2014 (GMT)

He will follow his individual schedule, but he will stay inside his house whenever he has no schedule assigned. —<({QT>> 05:16, 30 September 2014 (GMT)

Aerin suddenly dead[edit]

I came out at night after collecting "taxes" and heard his scream. He was laying there, between the square and jarl's house. Reloading fixed this, revealing a thief who stole a bunch of items from blacksmith's house. Then a small army of guards rushed to kill him, wonderful. I hope Aerin is still alive now. — Unsigned comment by 95.79.216.90 (talk) at 21:47 on 5 January 2016 (GMT)

As you said, the most likely cause was Aerin getting tangled up in the fight with the thief. The guards and NPCs tend to swarm around him until he dies, so it's quite possible that he got hit by a stray blow or two and died because of it. Zul do onikaanLaan tinvaak 15:19, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
