Flesh Atronachs[edit]

My guess is they're being summoned by the Heretics? I'd have to check the CS again, but when I added the location summary, all I saw in the cave were Heretics. Somebody who's actually played SI may to verify... --TheRealLurlock Talk 09:28, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

Inhabitants[edit]

After the quest involving Ciirta is complete the Apostles clear out of the Howling Halls and are replaced by Zealots. Kind of sad since I can't find any other Apostles in the game after the questline is completed. --85.232.209.209 15:21, 30 December 2007 (EST)

Good point. I've edited the main page to reflect that. —RpehTCE 20:24, 30 December 2007 (EST)

Loading screen[edit]

There appears to be a loading screen that reads "The Howling Halls contain the reconstruction of a famous building from Cyrodiil." (not sure if it's used in-game). Does anyone know what this quote refers to? --Quill 16:13, 31 January 2008 (EST)

Yes there is, although I don't believe I've seen it come up. I certainly don't know what building it refers to so I've marked your question in case anybody else can help. –RpehTCE 16:19, 31 January 2008 (EST)
During the related quest you're told that:
Hundreds of years ago, this very building once served as a temple in Cyrodiil that sought to "cure" the mad. It was in this temple that Emperor Pelagius was taken during his madness. After his death in these very halls, the temple was destroyed. We stole the stones from Cyrodiil and reassembled the temple here in the Shivering Isles.

Ah! (rpeh smacks himself on the forehead) I'd forgotten that. –RpehTCE 16:50, 31 January 2008 (EST)
This must be what the loading screen refers to. Thanks! --Quill 17:47, 31 January 2008 (EST)

Funny Stretching Glitch (XBOX 360)[edit]

Was in Howling Halls. Found 2 Apostle's Robes on a table. Picked the one on top up, and the bottom one flew off the table, but it stretched, and looked as if it was stuck to the table. I could pick up the actual robes and stretch them as far as I could. Merely a graphical glitch though. ImmortalKaine 22:57, 23 July 2008 (EDT)

Coincidence with Fable II[edit]

Just thought it somewhat humorous that both Shivering Isles and Fable II have a dungeon by the name of "The Howling Halls." I doubt this is intentional but thought I'd bring it up anyway. -Davehoekst 15:44, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

As you said, it's probably not intentional, especially given that the Fable Howling Halls have nothing in common with the SI ones. In any case it isn't worth mentioning. --SerCenKing Talk 20:04, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Ring of Disrobing[edit]

Within the Congregation chmamber of The Howling Halls, i came across the Ring of Disrobing in one of the wardrobes just around the corner from where the Pelvis of Pelagius is located. I am completely new to this and i didn't see this on the main page, just thought i'd bring it up. --Nifta 12:34, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, but that ring appears randomly in containers. For more details, see this page, which lists all the items needed for the Museum of Oddities. rpeh •TCE 13:23, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Okay i didn't know that thanks for the info. --Nifta 13:58, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Hiding place[edit]

Found a strange hiding place with candles, a scroll and a potion just west of H in the Congregation Chambers. It is overhead on a bridge under the ceiling. Not enough room to land on, but if high in acrobatics, you can jump and grab. In my case, scroll was Absorb Maximal Magicka and potion was Strong Potion of Agility. Tablecloth[edit]

Although the torn Kvatch banner resource is used for a dining room tablecloth in the Congregation Chambers, surely it's meant to represent the wolf of Solitude? Might be worth mentioning. -CvC 174.46.213.33 18:49, 10 March 2020 (GMT)
