Walkthrough[edit]

How do you get past the second twisted root as the switch is at the other side with no other visible way around? Also why are there no talk pages for the shivering isles and no brief walkthroughs of any fort/cave etc? — Unsigned comment by Fieldmouse79 (talkcontribs)

A) You can't - you have to be thrown in prison to get to the far side. B) Nobody's created them yet. Feel up to a job ;-) --RpehTalk 18:44, 21 September 2007 (EDT)
A) How do i get thrown into prison. B) Can't believe nobody has done any yet! C) No --unsigned
After completing main SI quest, you can't get thrown into prison, so those areas are actually off-limits. If you're really determined, and are on the PC, you can use my Wrye Shivering mod, which allows you to enjoy the ambience of prison life even after completing the main quest. Just do something illegal and choose prison when the guards charge up to arrest you. --Wrye 01:26, 22 September 2007 (EDT)
If you haven't completed the game then try punching a Mazken in the face and then choosing the Prison option. You'll be thrown into Corpserot Passage, beyond the barrier. And if you don't feel you're able to create the walkthroughs you really shouldn't be surprised that nobody else has done it. --RpehTalk 02:58, 22 September 2007 (EDT)

Question[edit]

(moved from Image talk:SI-Map-Corpserot Prison.jpg)

how do you get pass the second thing of roots — Unsigned comment by 98.28.30.9 (talk)

If you're coming in from outside rather than exploring having been sent to prison... you can't. Obviously the Mazken don't want people to experience their prison cells unless they're in them. –RpehTCE 18:23, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
then how do you get into the cell when you are arrested? Andil the mage 15:53, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
You're teleported there. rpeh •TCE 16:07, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Let me ask something else to get my point across, if you just serve your time then how do the guards get to you to tell you your free, i know if you just serve your time in any in game prision, there is just a loading screen but in terms of what would happen in reality? Andil the mage 17:30, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
There is no in reality, only what happens in-game. So you can only speculate on what would happen if it wasn't scripted the way it is. Maybe the Seducers can activate them from the outside? Maybe the player is able to just walk out? There is no information on this topic to be taken from the game. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 17:57, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Nobody comes in to tell you you're free - the punishment is that you're forced to escape, so as soon as you appear you're free to leave. DKong27 is right that we don't know for sure how you get there, but we do know that Sheogorath can teleport people (execution point, for instance), so it's probable that's how you arrive. rpeh •TCE 18:02, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Ok, thanks Andil the mage 18:19, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

Verification Needed[edit]

I've played SI, but I have no idea if this is true or not:

If you leave the Shivering Isles after serving time, the messenger from the Thieves Guild will find you as serving time here counts. This is the same for the Golden Saint's "prison" as well.

I thought it better to throw a tag on there rather than let it sit in the unpatrolled abyss for all time. Thanks! –Eshetalk 20:54, 8 June 2009 (EDT)

I removed the note altogether; after all, the place does not attract Myvryna's attention, it is more or less common sense that being arrested will attract the TGs attention and it is already mentioned on the Finding the Thieves Guild page. --Krusty 18:56, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
