Prior to starting Ripple Effect, he'll caution you against taking Sarvith Yunlin's comment seriously:

"Pay no attention to my little friend here. He has a weakness for tall tales. The taller, the better, I'm afraid.
It's all rubbish, of course."

Ripple Effect[edit]

Collect the Ancient Blades from each of them and return to Sarvith Lunlin at the Mages Guild camp, where he is arguing with another mage. Bhagrun Gro-Dunk doesn't believe that the stories of Faolchu are entirely truthful.

Sarvith Yunlin: "It's true! Faolchu was tall as a tree, with claws like greatswords."
Bhagrun gro-Dunk: "Yes, yes. And he breathed fire and ate warriors, armor and all. I've heard it all before."

Speak to Sarvith Yunlin and he'll tell you about the spell he wants to cast to reconnect with the past. Follow him and Bhagrun out into the camp:

Sarvith Yunlin: "Now we may finally learn how Faolchu was defeated."
Bhagrun gro-Dunk: "And maybe we'll find out how tall the horker really was."

The two mages cast a spell on one of the swords when a spirit appears:

Alana Relin: "Listen to me! You must listen!"

Speak to him and he'll say:

"No surprise there. Poor Sarvith, his spells never work as planned.
It's always the same. One disaster after another."

After speaking to Sarvith, he'll add:

"Well, at least I can say that Sarvith's spells are consistent. They never fail to fail."

The Nameless Soldier[edit]

Depending on your choices during the quest, exit the crypt and you'll find Sarvith Yunlin and Bhagrun waiting to speak to you:

"We weren't sure if you'd be coming back to us."
