Strange comment

When I asked Vantus about 'Rumours' during the Drunk and Disorderly quest, he said 'Did I give you the key after lockup last night? I really can't remember. Is this dialogue related to the quest, an easter egg, or just drunken murmerings?--Merco 09:56, 27 August 2007 (EDT)

Wierd, today i was happily exploring the woods near the White Stallion lodge sparing with Mazoga when a Land Dreugh attacks, Mazoga Ran away (random) and then out of nowhere Vantus Prelius runs out of the Niben and kills the Dreugh! (even more random) Anyone else had anything else similar? - Syko-Conor

I've not seen that specifically but I can imagine how it happened. He and the other local Fighters Guild members hang around just outside Leyawiin after you finish the Drunk and Disorderly quest. If a creature wanders close enough, they'll attack - or possible just him if it doesn't get close enough to the other two. Then he might find himself close to another and attack that. I was with Mazoga going to kill Black Brugo when I randomly received a 'Vantus Prelius is unconscious' notifier. Guess he got knocked out nearby.

Vantus Vs. Legion Soldier

Indeed, although those lines are not actually unique to him. I believe they can be heard by asking any male Imperial Fighters Guild member for Rumors. This guy just seems to supply them more readily than others - perhaps by virtue of being relocated outside the city walls.
