whats a good way to make money, thats roleplaying, and doesnt involve stealing or rampaging throught a town?Humansaw93 16:10, 31 March 2009 (EDT)

Become the son of a farmer. Perhaps he dies of some kind of disease (The Console), and you must harvest the crops and sell them to local towns. Lord Jeerus 19:42, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Lord Jeerus

Jobs[edit]

You won't let me add the belly dancer idea and yet you allow aurthor? You CAN make you person dance with a mod and you also allow to write that you can write your own books with mods. Should we even write things that can be enhaced with mods? --Sencilia 03:39, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Would I've seen that these roleplays were added, I probably removed them too. I don't have the time to sift through all these ideas, that's all. A roleplay idea that relies solely on the console (or mods) doesn't really work well for these articles. --Timenn-<talk> 10:25, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Cleanup?[edit]

Alright, I can tell from old discussions that the roleplaying articles are and always have been quite a mess, and not very popular among the administrators and patrollers (and I understand why...). I do admit some of these ideas are pretty clever (the Arrow boy one, for instance. It does sound pretty boring, but I still found it kind of clever), but for most of them I do not see the point at all. The Author one, for instance. It doesn't sound very fun sitting around at a desk all day "pretending" to be writing books. Even if you use a mod to actually write them, wouldn't it be better to just write for real rather than in the game? And the "Geisha" one is just silly, just some guidelines that could apply for anyone (be female, use katana, do quests, use horse etc.) Doesn´t sound much like a geisha, and geishas do not belong in the Elder Scrolls universe to begin with anyway. There are probably a lot more on the other pages, these are just the ones I happened to stumble across.

My question is: should we try to remove pointless/unspecific/unworking additions to these pages, or is it simply not worth the trouble since the roleplaying pages will probably never be up standard site quality anyway, and we should just try to minimize any further "damage"? You've hit on the frustration exactly. My viewpoint is, if they don't go by the guidelines in any way, delete 'em. If you think the guidelines are too relaxed, feel free to proposed stiffening them. --GKtalk2me 22:29, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

This isn't Helpful[edit]

I'm not interested in role-playing. Why is this on an informational website and not in forum's? I mean really? We get it, your bored of Oblivion and Morrowind, but spreading unessecary information on an informational website should not be tolerated, AT ALL. Cirith Mara 23:49, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

What?[edit]

My last comment's spelling was checked. I really don't care how you spell: role-playing. But my "really" didn't need to be checked. I added emphasis. That is all. Cirith Mara 00:29, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you're referring to here. I don't see any of your contributions that's been altered, other than the one I just removed on the Adoring Fan's talk page, which was simply because it was more forum-like and not really discussing the content of the article. I was being a bit hypocritical. My apologies. Cirith Mara 05:17, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay, no problem. Robin Hoodtalk 08:05, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
