At the Waterfront[edit]

I'm pretty sure this is the right Orc. I was wondering through the Waterfront, on my way to my house, and I looked over at the pirate ship. What do I see but an Orc riding a paint horse up onto the regular ground. Surprised me a lot. Anyone know what she's doing here at the ship? She then rode straight through the hole in the wall (big gap, whatever) and I went off to do my own stuff. — Unsigned comment by Jbfballrb (talkcontribs) at 12:48 on 21 October 2006

Yeah, I was walking to my house in the waterfront, and she rode right by me on her horse, I've never seen her or a horse there before. --WerdnanoslenTalk 09:23, 25 February 2007 (EST)

Buy?[edit]

Does anyone know if I can buy some skooma from her? — Unsigned comment by 80.163.39.214 (talk) at 22:46 on 12 February 2007

Since she's not a merchant, there's no way to buy anything from her. --Nephele 01:44, 17 February 2007 (EST)

Cleanup?[edit]

Why does this need to be cleaned up? Being as small of a page as it is I see no reason for it to be cleaned up. Pappasmurf 12:36, 2 March 2007 (EST)

You'd have to ask User:Hoggwild5 who put that tag there. Since she's no longer active on the site, I guess it would be acceptable to remove the tag. --TheRealLurlock Talk 12:49, 2 March 2007 (EST)

Skooma Barrel[edit]

I dont think this is as "bugged" as the page suggests. As a matter of fact, there IS Skooma in the barrel - but it spawns the minute she dismounts the horse. And she picked it up (10 bottles in my game) and left some gold in the barrel (45 gold pieces to be exact). I have double-checked this and I virtually saw the Skooma spawn in the barrel while I was checking its inventory... Krusty 20:50, 14 April 2009 (EDT)

Another observation; I couldn't get her to pick up the Skooma everytime, and started to kill all potential witnesses near the barrel. And when there was no one left, she picked it up. Krusty 21:07, 14 April 2009 (EDT)
That's when the skooma is supposed to be added to the barrel, but I never got it to happen. I'll have to try again. –RpehTCE 00:42, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
Weird. She did it the very first time, I followed her there (yes, I took the long trip), so I guess, I was lucky. And I'm kindda glad, this truly impressive schedule actually wasn't that bugged after all. I hope you get the same results. Now, for further testing;
  • When will she return to Cheydinhal if you just wait for her there? ANSWER: Tirdas at 8pm to take her dinner at Newlands Lodge
  • Will she bring back any Skooma, if you don't actually watch her pick it up? ANSWER: Probably not
  • Will the barrel spawn ten bottles of Skooma every week? (if true, THIS paragraph should be changed.)
Krusty 05:19, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
I followed her all the way from Cheydinhal too, acting as guardian angel when she was attacked by bandits, minotaur lords and the like.
I can't do the full tests right now, but the script to add skooma to the barrel is run every time she starts the "Pick Up Drugs" package - ie, once she has arrived on the waterfront and dismounts. At the same time, any money is removed from the barrel. The money gets added when that AI package ends.
What should happen is that on Friday, she takes the skooma to Walker Camp, hands it over to the thugs who then take it to the hollow rock. There's a script on the rock's "OnLoad" event that empties it (with a comment "someone mysteriously takes everything from this rock when you're not around") so I think that the only way to reliably get a supply of Skooma is to head up to the rock and lie in wait until the goods are dropped off, then pinch 'em.
One thing I definitely got wrong is that she is supposed to leave 25 gold per bottle of skooma OR as much gold as she has, whichever is smaller. I seem to recall her not having any when I was following her, which might explain why none got added to the barrel.
Anyway. I'll test this again later. –RpehTCE 05:49, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

My "corrections" and thoughts on the schedule[edit]

So, I have followed her around for almost a complete in-game week, and I thought I'd post my corrections here, instead of editing them onto her page. That way, the author (Rpeh) can decide whether or not he will include my observations - and do it in HIS writing, because this NPC definately deserves it. It's bound to be another featured article as it's extremely impressive just how much work and scripting Bethesda put in some of those NPCs, and how easy it is to miss out on those details during ordinary gameplay. I don't think all of my observations belongs on her page, some of them could be included as notes, and some of them not at all - but here they are;

CORRECTIONS TO THE ORDINARY DAYS (all days except tirdas and fredas):

  • "At 2pm she goes looking for Dulfish in Magrum gra-Orum's house, and spends two hours there before heading back home." - This is not entirely true, because she is actually looking everywhere for Dulfish. It's true, that Magrum's house is the first place she'll look, but if he's not there, she will search around town for him. Exception to this is on rainy days, where Dulfish stays inside...
  • "...until heading back to Magrum's house at 2am. She spends two hours there..." - Actually, she doesn't enter the house. She will wander around outside, probably because Dulfish is fast asleep inside.

TIRDAS:

  • No corrections really. In the above paragraph on the Skooma Barrel, it says most of it. The game doesn't appear to be glitched, but certain conditions must be met in order for her to take the Skooma from the barrel. I think those should be mentioned in the schedule, and the bugs removed.
  • When you wait for her in Cheydinhal, the trip will be a lot shorter, and she will make it back in time for dinner at 8pm.
  • If you wait for her near the horse in the Waterfront District, she will appear as early as 12pm.

FRIDAS:

  • Perfect schedule, no problems whatsoever. The "money bug" appears to be true, but who am I to know about her payment...
  • After she gives the money to Dulfish at 10pm, she will freeze up inside the Lodge for 4 hours. She will not move until her next cue at 2am.
  • If you wait for her in Cheydinhal, she will make it back in time for her lunch at 12pm.

Thats about it from me. As I said, in this case, I think it's up to the author to decide which of the "corrections" (in lack of a better term) that belongs on her page. Cheers! Krusty 14:09, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

Agreed on all that. I haven't included the times of arrival while you're waiting in Cheydinhal or the IC though - you may want to put those in as notes. I got her to take the skooma, but only when I unlocked the barrel... this could still use a little more testing to find out exactly when and why she takes it. –RpehTCE 09:30, 20 April 2009 (EDT)
Hmm, good point. I unlocked the barrel every time i tried, making sure there was Skooma in there, and never thought about how she would open the barrel. As I still got all my saves, I'll give it a bit more testing. If theres anything specific you want me to look out for, let me know. And I might put in some notes as you suggest, just so we can make sure to get all the details on her page. Krusty 10:52, 20 April 2009 (EDT)
The barrel is definitely something to check - does it have to be unlocked and does the lock reset? A little info on how waiting in various places gets her to appear at different times will be useful. I'd also like to check exactly what you have to do to get the skooma from the hollowed-out rock. Can you just wait anywhere and head along early on a Morndas morning or do you have to wait in the cell to stop the rock resetting? That's getting a little bit away from Oghash's schedule, but it looks like we might need the Orum Gang page I'd previously said wasn't necessary, and accurate information would be useful. –RpehTCE 10:57, 20 April 2009 (EDT)

Some additional observations:

  • On fridas, she will arrive in the Walker Camp at around 9am. She will be back in Cheydinhal at 12pm. (also true, if you wait for her at the locations)
  • She WILL pick up the Skooma from the barrel, even though it is locked. (Still, there must be no witnesses around)
  • Her departure time from the Waterfront District seems to be completely random. (Maybe there's a certain amount of time she spends there from the moment she dismounts the horse?)
  • A strange glitch sometimes causes her to take the trip to Walker Camp on the horse from the Waterfront. Only happens, if you wait for her at the campsite from 6am and forward.

Krusty 11:33, 26 April 2009 (EDT)

Just waited an entire in-game week (yeah, I used the "wait"-feature a couple of times), and I don't think the Hollow Rock resets. I followed the two brothers up to the stone after Oghash gave them the Skooma, they put it in there. And after a week its still there. Don't know what to make of this, but now it's written. Btw,they didn't return the following Fridas, suggesting that Oghash didn't pick up any Skooma at the Waterfront. I don't think she will do it, unless youre there. Krusty 13:56, 26 April 2009 (EDT)
If you waited by the rock, then it probably won't empty. This is the script on the rock itself:
; someone mysteriously takes everything from this rock when you're not around
begin OnLoad
        removeallitems
end
I'm not an expert, but I think the OnLoad event gets fired when the cell is loaded into the game - ie, when you walk into it. That means if you stay in the cell, it will never get called. Head well away from the rock, then wait a week and head back. Even that might not do it though, as the cell could still be cached. –RpehTCE 07:31, 30 April 2009 (EDT)
OnLoad is fired whenever the cell gets loaded into the UGrid block - which by default is a 5x5 grid surrounding the player, but can be changed in the .ini file. You don't have to wait for the cell to respawn (3 days by default), but you do have to ensure it is cleared from the cell buffer. Unfortunately, the number of cells held in the buffer is determined by the amount of memory allocated, not a set number of cells, so just travelling a few cells away may not be sufficient to clear it from the buffer. However, if you are on PC, you can type 'PCB' into the console to force the game to clear the buffer of any cells that are not in the current UGrid block. --Gaebrial 07:55, 30 April 2009 (EDT)

Does her death prevent any quests?[edit]

I'm not good at remembering Orc names, but I think I've conversed with her several times on the Ring Road near Sercen. Each time she was riding a paint horse and was dressed as in the picture. Neither time did she ever have any "useful" dialog, just the usual rumors. On more than one occasion, she dismounted and helped out when I was attacked in the area by wilderness creatures. Yesterday, I was passing near Sercen again on my way to Bruma, and found the corpse of an Imperial Legionary, his still living horse, and a living paint horse that might possibly belong to Oghash (or rather the gang, although I haven't yet found hers or any other body). Whatever killed the Legionary (and presumably Oghash, if indeed she's dead) survived and is long gone. Is there any way short of theft to claim these horses or move them to a safer location? Or are they doomed to stand there until they are killed by a passing wilderness creature? It's not entirely clear from the article, but if this is the gang's horse and she is dead, does that mean this pc will be unable to begin or complete a related quest? Phelaran 20:22, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

There is no quest associated with the skooma-trading game - it's just some NPCs who have some particularly unique AI - so her death does not prevent any quests. --GKTalk2me 03:56, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
