Concerning the extra image[edit]

The "interesting note" on this page speculates whether the typo in Nahsi's dialogue is a reference to Ahnassi. While this may or may not be true, is it really necessary to have a screenshot of the typo next to it.? --Timenn 11:25, 15 October 2007 (EDT)

I think it would be enough to just have the quote there, since that's what has been done for all the other NPCs who say interesting things. --Eshetalk14:19, 15 October 2007 (EDT)

Dialogue Patched?[edit]

Quoted (captured) for historical reference:

(regardless of current state, I, for one, found the image and speculation interesting...and the image offered proof.) -Laisren 17:20, 27 February 2008 (EST)
Nahsi's interesting "marital" typo.
Interesting Note: She makes an amusing typo in her welcome message: she offers training in the "marital" arts (see image).

This might have been a reference to Ahnassi (Nahsi <-> Ahnassi...), a character from Pelagiad in the the game Morrowind, who was a female Khajiit who could become a "special friend" for male characters.

I can't see any evidence that Nahsi's dialogue glitch about "marital arts" was ever fixed by an official patch. In my fully patched version of the game the line still clearly reads "training in the marital arts of Hand-to-Hand fighting." I suspect that this is something changed by the Unofficial Patch, but in that case the information should still be in the article with a UOP note. --NepheleTalk 11:49, 27 February 2008 (EST)

I confirmed that it's fixed by UOP, so I've put the information back in the article with a UOP tag. As I said in my edit summary, if someone can show that it was fixed by an official patch, then the appropriate patched tag ({{Patched 1.1.511}} or {{Patched 1.2}}) should also be added; in general, we don't just delete information that is fixed by patches. But I can't see evidence of any official patching. --NepheleTalk 12:01, 27 February 2008 (EST)

I checked earlier if the typo was there in the Construction Set, which I based the removal of the note on. I just re-checked now in both the Construction Set and the game itself (without UOP), in case I misread earlier (it was still early in the morning). However, in both cases the word is spelled correctly.
I may have been to quick to assume that this was corrected in a patch, though this seemed likely. I had for a long time the intention to do something about the note (see section above), but was not sure what to do with it. The likelihood that the reference was actually intended was never great, since "Nahsi" and "Ahnassi" are spelled quite differently. If this was fixed in a patch, then the reference was more than certain not intended (or Bethesda would not have fixed it, especially since they don't focus on spelling correction in patches), hence the reason I decided to remove it completely.
I still think that the note isn't necessary, there are plenty of typo's in the game, and the chances of something like this are high enough not to be noteworthy. It's strange though why this typo differs per copy of the game. --Timenn < talk > 12:26, 27 February 2008 (EST)
