I think this guy dissapears after the quest is over, I followed him after i received the reward and all he would say is "sorry i must check in at leyawiin castle. excuse me." I followed him into leyawiin castle thinking he'd talk to the count, instead he continues into the count's private quarters and vanishes in an instance before your eyes. I loaded a previos save and tried again, this time committing a crime attempting to stop his deletion, he followed me around for a bit, i yielded, he payed for my fine, and then he proceeded to the same place and dissapeared in the same place. on another save file, i killed him assuming he may respawn in the spot he was previously stationed but no such luck, can anyone confirm that he is deleted? i'm on the xbox, and is this worth mentioning on the main page? i think some people would want to know where certain characters go to after their quest is done, i'd change it myself but still waiting for confirmation. thanks!--Piercethetruth 04:24, 15 November 2007 (EST)

It's true. After you report your succes he is scripted to walk to the Castle Private Quarters. Once he gets here he is disabled (he disappears), which also means he will not respawn. I think this is relevant enough to mention in the article. --Timenn 07:04, 15 November 2007 (EST)

can someone confirm his respawn?[edit]

I was running from him during a thieves guild quest because I had acquired a bounty and I tricked him into fighting a bear which killed him. Will he respawn eventually so that I can do his quest?

Lerexus R.I.P.?[edit]

A strange thing happened recently ... one night I left Leyawiin on horseback and went north up the road toward Bravil. I started exploring the Telepe Ayleid ruin and began fighting with the bandit bowman guarding the place when all of a sudden I got a Quest update dialoge box that read: "Raid on Greyland: Since Lerexus Callidus has died, the quest cannot be completed." I hurried back to my horse and rode the short way back to the Leyawiin stables. Along the way, at the bend in the road just before I got to the stables, there was a dead Legion soldier by the river. Then, at the gate, I ran right into a Will o' the Wisp, with Callidus and the Legionnaire's horse both dead nearby. Since I eventually wanted to do his quest, I loaded an earlier save point and ran back and helped him kill the Wisp (then healed him just to be safe--he was nearly dead again). My question is: If I hadn't reloaded, would Callidus have respawned? The quest update sounded pretty final.71.230.32.141 19:08, 14 February 2009 (EST)WB

Moved Bug[edit]

Lerexus may shout 'Where are you?', or other quotes when you're near him due to an 'enemy' nearby. The enemy is actaully Lerexus himself. Somehow he sees himself as a threat and when near him you won't be able to wait, even when there are no enemies near him. Upon his death you will be able to wait again.

I cannot see how an NPC could target themselves, so I doubt the validity of the bug. More likely, some critter wandered nearby and set him off, but remained far enough that he couldn't find him, but close enough to make travel impossible. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 19:25, 21 October 2012 (GMT)

He Did Not Respawn[edit]

My recommendation is to get this quest done early. I did the Daedric quest where you're supposed to cause confusion at the Countess' party first and I ran into him but I think that my followers might have killed him because I could never find him to start the quest later.
