Schedule Problems[edit]

As much as I wanted to, I just can’t figure Laenafil out. I’ve entered the fort countless times and it seems she does something different every time. According to my observations, she patrols the area between the southeastern tunnel (just where the watery area ends) and the northwestern tunnel, every once in a while taking a pitstop in the large center room. Unfortunately, sometimes, she doesn’t move at all and just stays frozen near the watery area. At other times, she patrols the mentioned route back and forth, but WILL freeze if she gets too close to the water. Of course, I realize her schedule is random as is the case with most patrolling NPCs, but as I’m running out of patience it would be really cool if somebody could take a look in the CS and answer these questions:

  • Am I right about her route?
  • What’s her starting point (i.e. when you enter the cave during the quest)
  • Will her patrolling be different if the player chooses to enter the fort from the southern entrance?
  • Is her behavior determined by which cell the player is in?
  • What’s with the freezing near the water?

There is this AnnoyKrusty package, could that be it? ;)
She just works with one package, that is Dark07GuardWander, which basically means she wanders around the place the initial conversation between Neesha and Ulmug gro-Cromgog takes place, though with a quite large radius. There is nothing else, but my guess is that Wander packages can have some random effects, especially with large radius. --Timenn-<talk> 18:11, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
I have a feeling, there's a lot of annoying packages like that! :) Anyway, if she only has one package, it should be possible to figure her out. In the CS, is there an exact indication where she starts her "schedule"? Or does she pop up randomly near the conversation? -- Krusty 21:38, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
I don't know how a Wander starts precisely. It uses a fixed point for reference, and has a given radius. My guess is that an NPC first travels to the given location, and starts wandering from there. But since she already is within the given radius, she may just start wandering around right away. --Timenn-<talk> 10:20, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
