Please take this picture!![edit]

Please take this picture of Bacon because someone before claimed that it's legal to use any pictures even from oblivion.gamewikis.org since it's a wiki and you are allowed to take pictures from any wiki, and anyway I'm just an anomynous user just trying to help 2 sites, the one mentioned and you guys, thank you!! It may technically be legal but, as you were told in response to your earlier question at Oblivion_talk:Dunbarrow_Cove_(quest)#Would_you_want_this...., it's still not particularly fair to the person who originally created the screenshot and chose to post it to Obliviowiki. I'd rather have a screenshot taken by a UESP contributor that meets UESP's guidelines. --NepheleTalk 18:05, 23 November 2007 (EST)
Plus, honestly, it's not that great a picture. Much too dark, and from a weird angle, with UI elements on the screen. Hopefully somebody can do better than that... --TheRealLurlock Talk 18:12, 23 November 2007 (EST)
Oh, sorry then, I was just getting impatient while waiting, sorry, but thanks for telling me because i knew, but how about you ask someone if you can use one or two photos from olbivion.gamewikis.org, and maybe you can do the same, because they're more filled with creatures than npcs, well thanks anyway see ya!! PS: I don't know how to sign because on every single wiki it's different, thank you, see ya!! — Unsigned comment by 68.194.37.234 (talk) at 23:21 on 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Availability for bartering[edit]

The times Khafiz is available for buying and selling are probably right if the player has purchased all upgrades for Dunbarrow Cove; however, before that, Khafiz will not be available when asleep. After eating a snack at the deck of the Black Flag, he returns to his cave to sleep at 02:00 am , wakes up at 08:30, proceeds to walk to the big fire next to the Captain's Cabin, takes another nap untip 10:00 am, and then returns to his cave. Only from the moment he arrives there (10:45 am, approximately) he is ready to buy or sell items. — Unsigned comment by 145.97.194.163 (talk) at 12:42 on 19 September 2010

*Erratum* The schedule seems even fuzzier, recently Khafiz headed for his snack already at 11:00 pm. A couple of days later, he was available for buying/selling goods all night, contrary to earlier experience. Maybe a non-24hr-schedule? Anyone having similar experiences? — Unsigned comment by 145.97.194.163 (talk) at 10:03 on 21 September 2010

The Erratum isn't yours, exactly. He was clearly intended to have a 24-hour schedule, however due to a bug in the game engine, he'll end up being on a 48-hour schedule instead. According to the Construction Set, he should sleep from 2am-10am, wander around until 11pm, then eat until 2am the next day. Schedules that wrap around past midnight, however, are bugged, and I believe he would continue eating (what he was doing when it turned midnight) all day the next day, then resume a normal schedule the day following (i.e., continue eating until 2am and then go to bed). Robin Hoodtalk 20:43, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
It seems I was wrong on that. The problem with his sleeping is that his bed has apparently been taken away from him, so he can't go to sleep. At least, that's what happened when I observed him. He walks to a specific point and then stands there. There's supposed to be a bedroll there, but it's disabled due to a bug. I'm not sure why he was able to sleep for you. He sneaks around?[edit]

It is 12:42am and he was on the top deck of the ship. When I got to him he was already in sneak mode and he sneaks all the way back to his bed around bacon. Anyone else seen this? Is this normal or a glitch. dtm 09:29, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I noticed him sneaking around too, so I followed him twice. It turns out he sneaks whenever he goes to get something to drink. This obviously has something to do with the AI behavior, maybe it's part of his routine to drink something but none of the bottles in Dunbarrow Cove are flagged as owned by him or his faction so he's forced to "steal" them, but truthfully idk. Maybe he's just really self conscious about a drinking problem and doesn't want anyone to see him at the bottle yet again. 75.17.192.120 07:44, 17 May 2011 (UTC) CoolJoe

Got a new "bug" here:[edit]

I upgraded the module recently for the PC (and all the associated patches including the "unofficial" ones including the mod patch) but it seems when I purchased the fence, neither Khafiz or his pet boar were there. I did this as the second upgrade (the bedroom quarters was first and it went fine. Interestingly enough, the first "crew-member" also showed up fine.) Any idea why this happened? (I was forced to "enable" him "again," but the answer will help any future mods should this come up.) — Unsigned comment by 24.24.151.127 (talk) at 03:33 on May 23, 2011

Things you sell him[edit]

So I'm actively using Khafiz as the fence he is, and I'm noticing he is keeping a large amount of the stuff I sell him. Is he another vendor who keeps all the items or is this just a temporary thing?

Disappeared[edit]

I've looked every where for him and he is not in the the cave he is not in the black flag and he is gone I sold him my old bow and the game crashed I go back and he is gone bacon is there but he is no where to be found

Same thing happened to me. I'm on the Xbox 360. DruDrew (talk) 17:19, 28 April 2015 (GMT)

A Merchant you may invest in[edit]

As per the Merchants page, you can invest in Khafiz. He is one of two Merchants added by the Thieves Den plugin which can be invested in. The other being Dahlia Rackham. --Duke Stevrick (talk) 22:59, 22 October 2014 (GMT)
