Fort Aurus Summary[edit]

Fort Aurus is a general fort with only one entrance and exit. It is occupied by a group of conjurers, and their minions. On my trip I encountered four conjurers in total, and one frost atronach (I am level 39, so many characters will have varying results.) The only reason I went and I believe the only reason anyone might go, is to aquire the two bottles of Shadowbanish Wine. The only really good loot would be what is one the conjurers (i.e. weapons, staves, etc.) The fort is full of alchemy supplies ( morter & pestles, alembics, calcinators and retorts) but none of them are above the level of novice. I did not encounter any traps on my trip, but that does not mean you won't. There are a few doors, but only two of them were locked, but the lock was "easy" level so it shouldn't prove too terribly difficult. I encountered six chests, all of which had fair amounts of gold, however on my trip they were mostly locked, with a "hard" level lock. The chest containing the Shadowbanish wine however, is not locked. Every conjurer has a number of potions, and sometimes scrolls. I also noticed that the map for this fort was correct in all of its locations. All in all, this fort is a good, quick place to level some skills. I hope this helps anyone who needs it! Happy Hunting!

Unfinished Door[edit]

Above the main entrance on the ledge if you look at the wall an "old wooden door" icon pops up. Clicking on it does nothing. The collision on the wall itself is iffy at best. What the heck? 173.30.91.29 04:51, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Setazar

I couldn't get the icon to appear in-game, but looking in the CS there is an "Old Wooden Door" with the id "RFNAgedHallDoorLOAD01" embedded in the wall. It doesn't lead to anything so your guess is as good as mine as to what it is there for. –rpehTCE 16:35, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
