Possible Glitch[edit]

(moved from the article) It appears possible for Carodus to endlessly follow you if you have passed all knights of the nine quests and enlisted him at the priory. He never dies and can't be instructed to do anything. — Unsigned comment by 75.42.73.205 (talk)

Response from Bethesda[edit]

This is an extremely rare issue, and is caused by the following the specific actions in this order:

1. The player must complete KotN and kill Umaril while leaving at least one Knight un-recruited (along the quest line, especially at the very end, characters from the quest line will approach the player and ask to be allowed to join the Knights of the Nine).

2. After killing Umaril and being warped back to the priory, the player follows Sir Thredet out where he makes a speech to the other Knights.

3. During Thredet's speech, if the player talks to the un-recruited knight and recruits him, then also asks the knight to follow him at the same time, the knight that follows will follow forever, and still be essential as to never be killed.

This will ONLY occur while Thredet is giving his speech. To work around this, load a previous save and wait until Tredet's speech is completely finished before recruiting any additional knights(or just recruit them all BEFORE the final battle with Umaril).

NOTE: I actually got the "forever" following bug by trying to talk to Oholin while he was knocked out.

Backround[edit]

I forget what it is at the time, but if you talk to Carodus in the chapel, he will give some backround on his life... could anyone check what he says?--Arch-Mage Matt 02:15, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

That will be done as part of the redesign project. --GKtalk2me 15:01, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
