Bug?[edit]

I've passed his store many times at different times, even camped there till noon, but it never seems to be open... always the door is marked as owned, so that means that it is trespassing to enter the shop. anyone else had this problem? -Diegro

It's been a few days and nobody's replied so I'm going to assume "No"; I've certainly never noticed the problem you describe. Stupid question first: you're there between 8am and 8pm, right? --RpehTalk 11:56, 13 August 2007 (EDT)
Would be quite dumb if I wasn't eh? As you can see in my first post, i have at least once waited there til noon from 6am, each time waiting two hours. I have passed there many times since, but always when i put my mouse over it, it has the red door marker meaning that going throug woud mean trespassing. I do have some mods installed, but none of them made any changes to the cell or Bugak. I don't have Shivering islands and have the latest patch. I can't even begin to guess what would cause it... -Diegro
Sorry - I phrased my reply really badly. Did you go there between 8am and 8pm or were you waiting around outside? I've occasionally found that if you wait patiently for a shop to open, it won't. Have you tried using the wait command? If you're still not having any luck I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. --RpehTalk 12:42, 14 August 2007 (EDT)
Actually, I've always seen this same problem with this store. I just haven't had a chance yet to look in the construction set and see which settings are messed up. Even though the door claims that you're trespassing to enter, you can still go in and Bugak interacts with you normally. --NepheleTalk 13:19, 14 August 2007 (EDT)
yes, i noticed that,i went in today and stayed a while. he acts normal, but if you try to use the wait command inside, it will say your tresspassing. And Rpeh, till today i have stayed outside and used the wait command, but thanks anyway for the help. -Diegro
I've noticed it with a number of stores in the Market District, as well. If you are in the cell outside the store before it opens, the door icon remains red, and apparently locked, even after the store's opening time. However, if you activate the door, you can enter the store and buy/sell normally, and when you exit the door icons are shown correctly. I think it's a bug in the engine, rather than a setting in the CS. --Gaebrial 02:56, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
I've also noticed this. And after walking around in his store (not waiting), he will yell at me for trespassing, but I can still buy books off him. PinballWizard 12:12, 9 May 2009 (EDT)
