Is the Speechcraft Training thing even a quest? It leads back to the NPC page, which is also where the "master orator" link leads... Somercy 10:07, 28 September 2007 (EDT)

Well it is a quest... and Bruccius is required for it, but I don't like the way the quest is described on the NPC page either. Perhaps its time to think about separate quest pages for all the Master Training quests? --RpehTalk 10:11, 28 September 2007 (EDT)
Perhaps indeed. I mean, the current method seems misleading. Is it the same for all Oblivion Master Trainers? Oy. Want me to start trying to make the pages? Somercy 10:13, 28 September 2007 (EDT)
It's the same for all of 'em, yes :-( . It might be a good idea to suggest the change on the Community Portal and see what everybody else thinks. I've found there's usually a reason why things are done a certain way (from "Seemed like a good idea at the time" up to "It's the only way when you think about it") so it's worth checking it's not one of the latter cases before starting work. --RpehTalk 10:19, 28 September 2007 (EDT)

Patrick Stewart[edit]

Anyone else notice that many times when you walk by Bruccius he will say "Who will help an old beggar?" in Patrick Stewart's voice, and that his face looks to be somewhat modeled after Patrick Stewart as well? An Easter Egg perhaps?

No he doesn't. It's the standard beggar's voice - and he doesn't look anything like Patrick Stewart apart from the baldness. –RpehTCE 05:34, 9 February 2008 (EST)
Actually, this is the one beggar's line that Patrick Stewart says. It *is* him.
I'm sorry...but that just a ridiculous assumption to make.--Corevette789 22:02, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

It's 100% his voice for that one line. Some voices are just unmistakable. — Unsigned comment by 99.240.158.102 (talk) on 20 August 2011

Evidently some voices are mistakable, because you are mistaken. It's not Stewart. rpeh •TCE 09:29, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

Dead[edit]

I've seen Bruccius in Cheydinhal several times, and he's always alive. Now, all of a sudden, I see him lying on the ground, and he's dead for some reason, apparently randomly. Is this normal? Ongar the World-Weary 08:14, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

It's not exactly normal but not exactly uncommon either for a NPC to die without an apparent reason. There is no particular reason why he should be dead. Wolok gro-Barok 09:09, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Maybe they die of starvation if you steal from their food bags? Ongar the World-Weary 06:09, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
No, the game has no mechanics for starvation. Something must have killed him; most likely a guard. –rpehTCE 06:26, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
