Bal Molagmer[edit]

Do we want the Bal Molagmer link to point to the Morrowind namespace or the Tamriel namespace? I believe the Bal Molagmer has such a small appearance in Morrowind that it deserves to be in the more general Tamriel namespace. --DrPhoton 03:37, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Does the Tamriel entry mention it in Morrowind? I mean...Personally, looking at this article, I'd want to know how the Bal would come up in my gameplay... Somercy 08:20, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Eh, sort of confusing that the only people out there who dislike the Twin Lamps are the Telvanni. You'd think that Camonna Tong would have something to say.

Very low disposition[edit]

I'm lvl 26 now, Telvanni, Nervarine, have finished main quest and freed more than 20 slaves including 2 with escort. I've got a phrase pass for reaching Twin Lamps leader. However I've got strange behavior from Argonian Mission inhabitants, they have 0 disposition towards me and half of them attack me on sight (my personality is 47). I did not kill any slave or did anything bad to them. Please advise what can cause this. Also when i talk to Ilmeni Dren she does not have topic "twin lamps". I freed one slave from Dren plantation and delivered him to Argonian Mission. Then I have visited Ilmeni for thieves guild quest and she thanked for that slave. But still no twin lamps topic and they try to kill me :( Oxyk 13:25, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Note[edit]

I discovered that if you kill Sterdecan you can't become a member because Ilmeni will come up with the saying 'You killed Sterdecan, you will never be a member of the Twin Lamps' and you won't be able to 'join', even if you do have the passcode. --Archer7 16:06, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Yeah. Sames goes for Galyn Arvel, J'Saddha, and Hides-His-Foot. The lesson? Don't go killing people just because you can. You never know if they'll be important later. (And unlike the later games, Morrowind doesn't always make such people unkillable, or necessarily even warn you if you've killed somebody you shouldn't have. You mostly only get such warnings for killing people related to the Main Quest.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 11:33, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

Contradiction[edit]

How can Ilmeni Dren be the leader of the Twin Lamps as stated in the article if she's not even an official member (as stated in the tables)? - Blue 28 Feb 2013 — Unsigned comment by 79.0.131.195 (talk) at 09:33 on 28 February 2013

Lore based associations (she is the main Twin Lamps person on Vvardenfell) can often be very different than game based associations (she needs to be part of House Hlaalu for their faction quests, plus her father is the duke). Because, in morrowind, they could only be a member of one faction, House Hlaalu took precedence. She IS the leader of the Twin Lamps, but technical restrictions means she isn't a member of the faction, in terms of game play. Jeancey (talk) 21:33, 28 February 2013 (GMT)

Quests not available[edit]

I've freed more than 30 slaves, and everyone keeps telling me the codephrase, but I never get Twin Lamps as a topic with Ilmeni Dren. Even with her disposition towards me at 90+. And even if I console-cheat my way trough the first Twin Lamps quest, she doesn't acknowledge it at all. Kinda frustrating since I want to escort J'Saddha to the docks, but until I've talked to Ilmeni, he won't follow me. 89.20.230.193 16:18, 19 November 2013 (GMT)

Just to confirm, you can use the phrase with other people, just not with Ilmeni? And this is the passphrase, not just Twin Lamps? Jeancey (talk) 16:33, 19 November 2013 (GMT)
I get the topic Twin Lamps with all slaves, and they give me the phrase when I select the topic. 89.20.230.193 16:49, 22 November 2013 (GMT)
Talking about slavery with Brallion in Sadrith Mora, of all people, fixed this. Now I get the slavery topic with Ilmeni and the subsequent quests. 89.20.230.193 09:57, 24 November 2013 (GMT)
Thanks, that was almost impossible to find. There are a few NPCs that will mention slavery but won't activate the topic, and there are other NPCs that could activate the topic but never say it. Brallion is one of the few (only?) NPCs that actually says it AND knows it. (Was hard to locate him as well.) MisterDoctor (talk) 04:25, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

Joinable faction?[edit]

The article states, "To join the faction you must first prove yourself a friend to the abolitionist cause by freeing a number of slaves.", but the Factions page says this faction is not joinable. Which is correct? --Xyzzy Talk 17:35, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
