Ebony Axe[edit]

I noticed this smith had an ebony axe on his shelf which he also does not offer for sale. I was wondering if it was random loot or specially placed there. I was also wondering if mention of it should be noted anywhere here (if it is nonrandom) or left out. (Fightswithrat 00:14, 13 May 2008 (EDT))

Confirmed in the CS, but the axe is actually owned by the Ordinator. I'll add it to the article if no one objects, since I recall another shopkeeper article mentions an item in a shop which is actually owned by a guard. Forarmar 22:42, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. Robin Hoodtalk 07:35, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Just as a note: I made a bugs section and moved it there. Hope no one objects to the new placement.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 23:54, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that makes sense. Robin Hoodtalk 03:37, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Note to Telvon[edit]

I found a note to someone called Telvon on the door of Indoranyon. The note writer tells Telvon to meet him "back" in Vos. Who is this Telvon? It can't be Llethan, because he's a smith in Vivec.... or could it be?Doraku 15:52, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

The note is mentioned on Indoranyon's page. Apparently, the other "Telvon" is not in the game. --Brf 16:26, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Damaged Merchandise[edit]

I just noticed the following condition of Telvon's wares:

1. 4 Iron Shortswords are at 300/600.

2. 1 Silver Dagger is at 80/400.

3. 1 Silver Shortsword is at 270/570.

4. 1 Steel Broadsword is at 600/900.

5. 1 Steel Claymore is at 1400/2100.

6. 1 Steel Dagger is at 100/450.

7. 2 Steel Halberds are at 300/1000.

8. 2 Steel Katanas are at 1200/1800.

9. 1 Steel Longsword is at 800/900.

10. 3 Steel Maces are at 1200/1800.

11. 3 Steel Sabers are at 700/1050.

12. 4 Steel Shortswords are at 300/750.

13. 2 Steel War Axes are at 800/1200.

14. 2 Steel Warhammers are at 2000/3000.

I'm accustomed to finding the occasional Glass Dagger at 2/300 among the wares of other merchants, but I'm not accustomed to finding numerous damaged weapons, and certainly not among the wares of a smith! I suppose I never noticed this one before, because when I come to Vivec merchants, it's to unload, rather than to buy.

Under the circumstances, it seems to me that the phrase, "quality selection", needs to be qualified, which I'm doing. Then again, I'm not sure that phrase even belongs in the description of his wares. I'm leaving it, out of respect for what ever reason, (unimaginable to me), for which someone included it. P.S. Even if the Ebony War Axe belonged to the Ordinator, its condition is 1600/2400, which seems to me, even more unlikely for an Ordinator than for a smith. Downstrike (talk) 11:13, 14 April 2013 (GMT)
It doesn't belong here. The majority of weapons that are found sitting in a shop (any shop) will be significantly damaged. I believe this was done to discourage stealing in shops. This is not unique to him, so it doesn't really belong here. Jeancey (talk) 16:07, 14 April 2013 (GMT)
