Battling the Mudcrabs[edit]

Do I need anything to use to defeat these mudcrabs with?

I'm a Breton/Healer at level 3. --ShakenMike 13:36, 18 February 2007 (EST)

You'll probably be able to handle it. --Ratwar 09:35, 15 February 2007 (EST)
Ok thanks.--ShakenMike 13:36, 18 February 2007 (EST)

Non-Redorans shouldn't be able to start this[edit]

From looking at the journal stages, this should be a Redoran-only quest, as there aren't separate, appropriate journal stages and topic responses for non-Redorans. Note stage 40, which has "I should report back to Neminda." Reporting back to Neminda has her speak to you about new duties, and she doesn't have a separate response for non-Redorans. This makes it clear that the quest was intended only for Redorans.

Contrast with the Hlaalu/non-Hlaalu quest of "The Death of Ralen Hlaalo", which has different stages and responses appropriate for Hlaalu and non-Hlaalu.

Drulene's other, later quest of "Trouble with Bandits" is the same. It should be noted as a bug that non-Redorans can start this quest.

The Morrowind Patch Project attempts to resolve this by creating a new journal stage 45 given to non-Redoran, with "Drulene Falen thanked me for killing the mudcrabs." that ends the quest. I feel that the proper fix would be to have Drulene avoid giving the topic "hostile mudcrab" to non-Redorans. — Unsigned comment by 115.134.28.27 (talk) at 05:27 on 1 October 2011

Reward?[edit]

As a non-Redoran, how is it possible to complete this quest? Speaking to Neminda about mudcrabs doesn't work. Does this quest become incompletable if you deal with the bandits as well? —Legoless (talk) 16:52, 26 December 2013 (GMT)

I don't know about it, the article only states that "you don't have to be a member of House Redoran to receive the rewards from Drulene Falen." (refering to the hackle-lo). I don't think it's really completeable for non-redorans. -- SarthesArai Talk 17:00, 26 December 2013 (GMT)
Ah, read it wrong, thanks. —Legoless (talk) 18:18, 26 December 2013 (GMT)
