Directions[edit]

Does anyone have more specific directions? Or possibly where to find the grotto on tghe paper map? Plz? Darth Cronus 22:07, 5 November 2007 (EST) — Unsigned comment by Maximus Bane83 (talkcontribs) at 03:07 on 6 November 2007 (GMT)

It is almost directly southwest of Ebonheart. The easiest way to get there is to have some method of water walking, then head across the southern bridge out of Ebonheart, onto the island. Follow the coastline west until you are directly south of the council halls (where the Duke is), then water walk southwest from there. At maximum view distance, you can just about see the grotto's location in the distance from the shore of the island. There are two small islands close together, and the entrance to the grotto is submerged between them.--Gaebrial 05:47, 6 November 2007 (EST)

Breathing opportunities[edit]

Mudan grotto: First part has plenty places to breathe, except for the last part to the door to the Lost Dwemer Checkpoint. You might want to take a waterbreathing potion for that part.

Mudan, Lost Dwemer Checkpoint: Has breathing opportunities, but also a long stretch of underwater swimming to the tower and vault you wont make without a potion.

Mudan, Right Tower: Completely above waterlevel.

Mudan, Central Vault: Completely above waterlevel.

In summary, if you have a lot of health you can make it without waterbreathing potions otherwise taking 2 or 3 is highly recommended. Especially if you come here as a low level character to pick up the very nice dragonbone cuirass, which you easily could because of a lack of hard enemies. Bringing Swift swim potions is a good idea too, since the grotto itself is in the middle of the water and it will help you get around inside. — Unsigned comment by 213.46.153.29 (talk) at 02:41 on 8 December 2007 (GMT)

Blood of the Quarra Masters[edit]

I am pretty sure that there is a Blood of the Quarra Masters potion in the final area with the Dragonbone cuirass on a shelf. Nordickie 04:08, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

No. I do see a Potion of Heroism, but no Blood of the Quarra Masters. --Timenn-<talk> 14:06, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Unreachable Kollops?[edit]

The article states that "You can find nine kollops here, two of which are unreachable." Has this been verified for any version of the game? Currently playing the GotY Edition, I can find and reach all nine kollops easily. Am I missing something? If not, can this part of the article be rectified to include only a mention of the kollops? --Badnik (talk) 23:32, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

I checked with a test character and found that I could reach all nine kollops as well. However, the two at the back of the overhang in the second chamber were a bit of a challenge; my character got hung up on something trying to get back there the first time he tried it. The character is a Nord, so size might play a role in how easily one can access those two kollops. (He actually got stuck in that chamber twice during the test, once so badly that not even the "fixme" console command could get him loose.) I've edited the article to indicate that all nine kollops should be reachable, but that two of them might pose a bit of a challenge. — Wolfborn(Howl) 02:16, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi Wolfborn, thanks for checking! I'll see if I can run several character races there to test if height affects them. For reference I was playing a Dunmer, which is kind of an average height.--Badnik (talk) 02:25, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
