Book[edit]

Should it be noted that the Book 'I'm My Own Grandpa' appears on his bed if the Entertainers plug-in is installed? Legoless 13:26, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

It is. –rpehTCE 17:07, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Fargoth[edit]

Legoless, why have you removed my edit? It's not an attempt on Fargoth bashing but a lot of people do find this NPC to be irritating. I think this is a valid edit, especially since the cliff racer page has a similar entry about their being too many cliff racers in the game. — Unsigned comment by 24.9.91.144 (talk) at 21:13 on 7 April 2012 (GMT)

The note is irrelevant. This article is for in-game information, not trivia about the community's opinion of the character. See Oblivion:Adoring Fan. --Legoless 20:17, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
I might also note that the note on the Cliff Racer page has an entry that's from the game directors themselves, not the community. The directors have said nothing about Fargoth, as far as I know. Vely►Talk►Email 20:48, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

We don't do trivia here. Anything which is defined as, "Details, considerations, or pieces of information of little importance or value", shouldn't be added to an article. This thought isn't really that prevalent nor is it necessary to note it on the article. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 16:50, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Irrelevant information?[edit]

Just found the "While Fargoth has a house in town, he never visits it." phrasing a bit odd, as it isn't too relevant to Morrowind gameplay anyway (many NPCs having plenty of abodes without visiting, being a common engine limitation). Other phrasing such as in the sentence "You do get a chance to get the ring back as well as some gold, so this is probably the best tactic. It is easy, however, to bypass him and the other residents of Seyda Neen when following the advice of your orders or the text that suggests you investigate Arrille's Tradehouse." also sound out of place, as if from strategy-guide and not phrased in a neutral, unbiased way.--ThomasTheWest (talk) 21:46, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Keep in mind, that while lorespace is phrased in a neutral, unbiased way from the viewpoint of someone in Tamriel, gamespace essentially is a strategy guide, and thus it's perfectly acceptable to phrase things in ways to direct readers to specific things off the beaten path, or to things that are a more optimal route than the game suggests.
