Keyword won't appear[edit]

I have encountered an interesting bug with this quest. The "Quarra blood potion" keyword would not appear for me in the post quest dialogue with Omayn after killing Rimintil. I believe this was due to the fact that I already had the potion in my inventory when I finished Omayn's first quest (I had an Aundae vampire character and grabbed the potion during the quest to kill Kjeld). Omayn mentioned the potion, but it would not highlight as a keyword, so I could not start the quest, and after exiting and retrying the conversation, she wouldn't bring it up again. After reloading and dropping the potion in the Telvanni council hall, I completed the Rimintil assassination and received the keyword and quest as normal. The reason I bring this up in the talk page as opposed to an edit is simply that I no longer have a save file prior to completion, so I can't reliably test this and see what else may cause this (perhaps it's a random glitch) and if there is a simpler way to fix the problem. Please don't add something that initially needs a VN tag. Wait until someone confirms it here. --Elliot(T-C) 06:17, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
I realize I'm new here so I first want to assure you that I'm not arguing with you, simply defending my actions. I encountered a legitimate, quest breaking issue with this particular quest that I felt should be easily accessible to others so that they may preemptively avoid it. If the Bug/Glitch is only mentioned in the talk page, then people might carry on like I did, grab the item in question, and expect to start and finish the quest without even leaving the dialogue box. By placing the bug on the main article, I attempted to ensure that readers would see the potential issue and avoid it. I placed the verification tag for two reasons: the first was to dirrect interested parties to the talk page where a more detailed description is located without taking up excess space on the main article until it was proven/disproven. The second reason was to ensure that such an issue would be verified with relative haste due to the fact that it prevents a quest with a fairly unique reward from triggering. With a verification tag, it is actually checked by individuals such as yourself for its validity without them having to wade through the countless other pages looking for potential problems. Again, I'm not arguing, and I know I'm new, so I just wanted to make sure you understood my reasoning behind the post. Dlarsh 06:43, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
We have to have two people confirm it in order for it to be an actual glitch worth mentioning and not just a unique slip-up. --Elliot(T-C) 21:15, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Just checking up on an old post of mine. I was wondering if there was any chance of this being confirmed/refuted in the near future and whether or not there's something I can do help? Dlarsh 18:24, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Can you reproduce the problem every time? I don't have a save anywhere near this point, so I can't test it. –rpehTCE 18:45, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm trying to get there on PC, but my character's fairly undeveloped so it might be a while. Dlarsh 20:35, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
I reported the same bug/work around back in Feburary, though I reported in the Murder Rimtntil talk page since by the time the user completes that quest it's too late to do anything about it.124.149.49.180 09:09, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

(outdent) Thanks Elliot. Dlarsh 15:23, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Confirming[edit]

If blood sample is in inventory, the topic doesn't show up, and quest cannot be started. — Unsigned comment by 109.189.92.142 (talk) at 12:10 on 16 September 2013‎

This is already noted on the article, and the need for verification was removed a while ago. If something needs to be edited for clarity, please feel free to do so. — ABCface 13:49, 16 September 2013 (GMT)

No help "below"[edit]

"If you obtain the Potion of Quarra Blood before attempting to get this quest from Raven, the topic will not usually appear. If you have obtained the potion prior to speaking to her, it is advised to simply either drop the potion on the floor before speaking to her, or to use the console to add the topic, as described below."

Below, where? Below is only the journal quest stages, there is no information regrding the crucial addtopic keyword...
