Taris Rendil

It says that Taris Rendil was Arch-Mage of the Mages Guild. His death is said to be in 3E 433. So by this logic we can assume that he was Arch-Mage 'till then. But Hannibal Traven on the other hand was selected as Arch-Mage two years earlier in 3E 431.

Where there two Arch-Mages or was Taris Rendil "just" a member The Council of Mages? Which is made up of 5 archmagisters (1 Arch-Mage, 3 Master-Wizards and 1 unknown rank) and was therefore a Master-Wizard and one of the 5 archmagisters (maybe even the missing fifth one)?

He could have stepped down before he died, he didn't have to be the Arch Mage right up until his death. RIM 14:30, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

His title might also simply be incorrect. I wouldn't consider it strictly canon, as it only ever appears in DLC promotional material. --Legoless 15:25, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Emperor Titus Mede II

Because of conflicting quests, it should not be stated that he was killed by the dark brotherhood. It is only speculation that he has died in 4E 201, because there is no source to confirm his death. The Silencer has spoken^Talk 19:23, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Skyrim doesn't confirm it. Hail Sithis has him dead, while Destroy the Dark Brotherhood! means you never progress to the stage where he is even in Skyrim. The Silencer has spoken^Talk 19:40, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Using that logic, Alduin still flies the skies, the Thieves Guild is still in shambles, Kodlak Whitemane is still alive, BLackreach is still hidden, the Eye of Magnus is still buried deep beneath Saarthal... We have to assume that the quest lines are completed. One of them has Titus Mede II dead, the other does not explicitly state that he is still alive. These two quests conflict, if you complete one you can't do the other. Yes we take all quests to have been completed but not when two quests conflict (its one or the other not both). There are no quests that stop any other Guilds being completed, which is why they were put in Lore, but this was not. The Silencer has spoken^Talk 19:56, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

I disagree, we've always done it before. We state that the three vampire clans of Vvardenfell were wiped out, because if the player joins one then they are ordered to eliminate the others. They all directly conflict with one another, yet we assume that they all happened. It's the same with Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood questline (for the most part). --Legoless 20:01, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

If the DB is destroyed, they can't kill the emperor. However, that doesn't mean the emperor can't die, with the DB being suspected. Either way, he probably dies, but we needn't state that it was the DB. Vely^{►Talk►Email} 20:41, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

There is no conclusive proof that Titus Mede II dies in Skyrim. The only way he dies, is if the player joins and completes the Dark bortherhood questline. A fair amount of people Destroy the Dark Brotherhood for Commander Maro. So to claim Titus meets his demise on the Katariah as canon, is one sided ignorance, and arrogance by the so called site moderators. Titus's fate should be left ambiguous, as his appearance in the game is predicated upon the player becoming a member of the DB. Please do not blame the site moderators. As this is a wiki that anyone can edit, it is the editors who have altered the content--some who were anonymous and some who have been on the wiki a long time. Please do not call it ignorant or arrogant, as we are all altering it based on different opinions.

Of course his fate should be rather ambiguous, but how ambiguous is something we've been discussing. He probably would still visit Solitude, as there still would be people talking about the wedding. Thus, him being on the Katariah should happen, though it wouldn't happen in the player's gameplay. Whether or not he dies there is uncertain, but it should be put that around that time he died--what else would Bethesda say about it? Vely^►t►e 03:05, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
