Image too dark?[edit]

This image was marked by the FixImage template as being too dark. Is this really so? If I look to it with my CRT monitor (CRT is usually less bright than LCD), which has a low brightness setting, I have little difficulty seeing the character. I admit this image isn't the best lighted one, but should it be replaced? --Timenn 17:36, 14 October 2007 (EDT)

Don't take it personally - it's by no means the worst image I've seen on the site, but it could definitely be improved. The over-abundance of orange just feels wrong, and the subject is back-lit, which never makes for a very flattering portrait. Anyhow, if even you admit that the lighting is not great, then there's no reason not to try and get a better shot, is there? --TheRealLurlock Talk 23:40, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
No, I certainly don't take it personally. My comment was more directed to a general defense of images of characters who reside in dark environments (Thrangirfin and Rona Hassildor spring to mind). I think it would have been better if I placed my comment there. Having characters in full lighting usually removes their shady look, while the player will only encounter them in dark environments. But Jakben could probably use better lighting. --Timenn 09:30, 15 October 2007 (EDT)
