Description[edit]
A pack of text fixes addressing typos and inconsistent spellings affecting 74 dialogue and book files. Salud. If you encounter any errors that you believe to be associated with my mod, please message me with details on what the error was and where in the game you encountered it.
Character Fixes:
- Septem -> Septim
- Zenaide -> Zenaida
- Marshall -> Marshal (per TES2 standardization)
- Papr -> Papre (was meant to be displayed as Papré, but the game cannot handle accented characters, so it only displays a blank space instead of an é. The TES3 version of this book just uses a regular e, so this change adheres to that standardization)
- Josiah -> Josian
- helspawn -> hellspawn
- weir gate -> Weir Gate
- magica -> magicka
- oblivion -> Oblivion
- we'll b -> we'll be
- life force -> lifeforce (per TES1 standardization)
- CURIOSITIES OF THE SECOND AGE -> CURIOSITIES OF THE FIRST AGE (The book refers to a pre-Imperial Heartland and artifacts from when the Elves ruled, logically, even in TES2/Battlespire era lore, these artifacts would have to be from the First Age, rather than the Second)
- and and -> and
Punctuation Changes:
- ... -> ...
- .... -> ...
- Double Spaces -> Single Spaces
Obtrusive Changes:
- For continuity, this mod incorporates the Banish Daedra special language from the Daggerfall Quest, Banish Daedra: "Zanoth na' (Daedra's Name). Zanoth na' (Daedra Prince's Name). Senet seneth mor." into the player banishment dialogue for Xivilai Moath, Faydra Shardai, and Mehrunes Dagon. Also expands on an already existing sentence in Chimere's Journal to explain how the player knows what to say.
- For convenience, instead of dropping the Gatekeys to the ground upon Faydra Shardai or Xivilai Moath being banished, the Gatekeyes are now added directly into the player's inventory. Before, the player might find themselves assuming it was automatically added to their inventory upon banishing the characters, given the precedence of when Wonshala banishes herself, and the mace Scourge is automatically added to the player's inventory. Then that player might backtrack throughout the entire level multiple times attempting to locate and acquire the missing Gatekeys. I am player. I did this. This change is for me. Choose not to suffer as your forebearers did.
