Respawning[edit]

I think this respawns every 10 days as you can't "clear" it as there are no enemies. Places that you can't clear tend to respawn every 10 days, save for hearthfire houses which respawn every 20-30 days, but the gardens every 3. --67.185.108.121 02:47, 14 December 2012 (GMT)

I don't know if this was even in question, but the stalhrim deposits do indeed come back, though I don't know how many days must pass before that happens. Nice to have a better source for stalhrim than the Skall blacksmith. Username12345 (talk) 00:55, 19 December 2012 (GMT)
One time upon a return, only a few of them respawned. Though the graphic was still there, walking up to one showed "Draugr", and I could loot them. Attempting to "Mine" the Draugr gave me squishy sounds. I wonder if it was simply a graphical glitch. Returning a second time, the other few respawned. Very odd.-Zydrate[][] 05:23, 21 December 2012 (GMT)

Moved note[edit]

"i would like to ad the fact that when u r picking for stalhrim u need to pick 6 times instead of three like normal ore veins

then there's the fact if u don't take away everytihng from within the drougr it takes way more time then 10 days to respawn"--Catmaniac66 (talk) 08:57, 30 December 2012 (GMT)

The Draugr like any container if you leave stuff in them then they wont respawn containing anything, they'll be empty, easy answer always empty containers especially containers that could hold the top loot. Dump your clutter in things you kill that way it'll go when reset and you don't have to carry it around or drop it on the floor. Biffa (talk) 00:07, 20 March 2013 (GMT)

Possible Bug?[edit]

My first pass through, I emptied out all ten coffins of all the Stalhrim. When I arrived a second time several game weeks later and also having traveled back to Skyrim twice, I found that while the ice had reformed over the draugr the option to mine the Stalhrim did not show up. The only option my player could choose was to loot the draugr corpses that were not even visible through the reformed ice. Dragonalumni (talk)

I ran into this as well, just equip your ancient nordic pickaxe and swing manually, that worked for me, on ps3. the elemental fury shout makes it a breeze too. Hope it works for you (Seventhsage (talk) 00:17, 18 February 2013 (GMT))
I had the opposite of this: the ice did not respawn, but the draugr corpses' loot respawned. after looting them and aiming at the small amount of stalhrim left behind them, i was able to mine the deposits. (all coffins). Probably it was just a glitch and the ice didn't get drawn properly?
I had the problem with the stalhrim showing but no option to mine it. I simply saved in front of it, and totally reloaded skyrim and then my save, and it fixed it no problem.

Different Experience[edit]

When I went back to the respawned Stalhrim Source, it was just like you guys are saying: like 3-4 of the tombs had Stalhrim, the rest were Draugrs covered in ice.

Then however, I reloaded my QT autosave to Raven Rock or wherever I was before, went back to the S. Source, and it was slightly better. After a few tries all 10 of them were Stalhrim.

Of course, that totally isn't what's happening right now, but hey, give it a try. --Timfever (talk) 07:32, 7 March 2013 (GMT)

I had the same proplem.
It showed the ice but just send search drauger. I'm not sure, but i traveled to wind helm then back to the source and it seemed to work.
I expect it dosent matter where you go just fast travel out of solthem and then go back.
Hope it helped. — Unsigned comment by 90.214.59.255 (talk) at 20:33 on 15 June 2013

I cant mine them just loot the Draugrs even with pic in hand

What counts as visiting?[edit]

I know that if you revisit an area before its respawn time is up, you reset the timer. That being so, I noticed that this area doesn't seem to be in its own separate cell. Does this mean that if you're in the Solstheim overworld at any time it counts against the respawn timer? Or does it only reset if you're near the area? 71.103.12.178 18:33, 20 July 2013 (GMT)

No if you just travel somewhere else in Solstheim and do the ten day wait there it counts I've been doing it at the Skaal village — Unsigned comment by ‎98.24.83.183 (talk) at 16:25 on 7 September 2013‎
This is because you are leaving the cell. And ten days is it's respawning time. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 16:28, 7 September 2013 (GMT)
