Silt Strider Cries[edit]

has anyone noticed how the slit strider 'crys' when Sarvani dies?— Unsigned comment by ‎90.208.184.10 (talk) at 12:48 on 10 December 2012‎

Anyone else read that and hear it in a really sadistic voice? Jeancey (talk) 13:16, 10 December 2012 (GMT)
If you played Morrowind you would know that they were making similar sounds in that game too. Even if nobody died. However, I assume that's the way Silt Striders 'speak' but in Skyrim you can hear it as far back as in Raven Rock... --Arkhon (talk) 03:31, 11 February 2013 (GMT)
I don't think it's to do with him dying. In one game I've seen it start calling out while he's still alive. (Didn't make a sound the first time he was talked to, was making noise the second time). Same noise it makes in my game, where he's nowhere to be found. --Malatoth (talk) 18:30, 7 May 2013 (GMT)

Can you loot the resonance gem[edit]

Revas was killed by a dragon, I had already purchased the resonance gem, but was worried it may break the quest for other players. Can you loot said gem off of a dead Revas? — Unsigned comment by Romandoug (talkcontribs) at 03:17 on 20 December 2012‎

A good question. If you look at the quest page, it notes that there are five of these, and you only need the two from the ruin, and two from elsewhere. The other two are in dungeons, so they will be less likely to vanish without any effort on the player's part. If someone wants his so that they have a spare souvenir, I would hope that his body doesn't disappear and that he holds the gem, but someone else will have to find out whether those things happen or not.--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 21:46, 30 March 2013 (GMT)

Possible bug where he doesn't spawn?[edit]

In my game, Revas never appeared. Been over the whole area from Tel Mithryn to the Sun stone & also by the Silt strider & the cemetery; all the time casting detect dead & detect living. No sign of him or his body. --Malatoth (talk) 18:35, 7 May 2013 (GMT)

This is conjecture, but it's quite possible that he died and despawned. He dies very often from my experience. Bushwhacker (talk) 04:13, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Possibly. If so it happened far enough away from me that I had no chance of spotting it. Malatoth (talk) 07:23, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

Pickpocket-able merchant[edit]

It should be noted that Revus's initial merchant inventory can be pick-pocketed. However, when I tried to sell him things I could not pickpocket them back. ~Oceley 75.140.153.17 07:04, 16 August 2013 (GMT)

I added the note. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 16:14, 16 August 2013 (GMT)

Vulnerable Named NPC[edit]

Is it normal for him to die a lot? I accidentally lured Ash Spawn over to him and he died in 2 seconds. I reloaded and later when I was walking by I found out he'd gotten killed by two Reavers. It's convenient in that I don't have to pay for his unique item, but I'm bothered by a named NPC dying so easily when it isn't scripted. Bushwhacker (talk) 04:14, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

There are some other named NPC's that tend to die a lot, but not many. These tend to be people with abnormally high aggression for civilians who are woefully ill-equipped for the fights they get involved in. I'm also looking at the cs entry and I'm wondering if in fact he is not leveled at all and stuck at level 1, but that would require in-game verification by a PC user. This is one of those cases where the CS gets it wrong. He inherits his stats from levelled bandits, so his own stats are dummy entries. Nevertheless, he does die very easily, probably because there are so many monsters in the general vicinity (not to mention the three Ash Spawn that spawn during Reluctant Steward). He seems to be level 1 always![edit]

Okay, so I got him dead in one ash-spawn hit, which made me wonder...
So GetAV Health on him - 35.
But I was sure I did not visit Soltsheim while low-level...
So checked on another character's savegame - again he is level 1, while my character is 76 and never visited Tel Mithryn before (although was at Hrodulf's House).
Looks like he is supposed to be leveled, but spawns at gamestart and never gets to level up.
Checked in SSEEdit, and hes in "persistent children" of the cell, does it mean something?
Does, maybe, NixHound "creation" mess his levellling up?
And, actually, if he was not bugged in that way, he is also "easy", so for him to be level 25 the Player would have to be ~lv. 75
Sergio Morozov (talk) 07:39, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
Okay, in addition to him being possibly bugged, his leveled list is that of a common bandit, and that list does not "guarantee" him spawning at max. possible level.
