The Bulwark

The Bulwark is an imposing stone wall created to protect Raven Rock from ash storms, with the city's garrison and jail both built directly into the wall.

Walkthrough[edit]

Exterior[edit]

The Bulwark stands at the east end of Raven Rock, with its exterior nearly buried in ash. A short timbered tunnel burrows through the ash to the city's main gate, with the unlocked entrances to the garrison ("the Bulwark") and the jail facing each other just inside the gate. Two Redoran guards are posted outside these two entrances.

The Bulwark[edit]

The Bulwark interior

The entrance leads into a long narrow room running from east to west and turning to the northwest toward the end; the garrison comprises only this room. Starting from the entrance and moving west, along the north wall are three food barrels and eight unusable barrels, a large fireplace with a cooking spit, an owned single bed, two owned cots, a chair, the evidence chest, another owned single bed, and a chair and a table holding a bottle of flin, a bottle of matze, a bottle of alto wine, a cooked beef steak, an East Empire Company strongbox, and a copy of The Axe Man. Along the northwest wall to the left of the table at the end of the room is another owned single bed.

Starting again from the entrance and moving west, along the south wall are four chairs and two small round tables holding a bottle of flin, a bottle of sujamma, two bottles of Nord mead, an ash yam, a salmon steak, a sweet roll, a cooked beef steak, a horse haunch, a baked potato, and a notice from Captain Veleth reminding the guards that emberbrand wine and similar contraband are off limits. West of the chairs and tables is a row of five weapon racks holding a selection of iron, steel, and elven weapons, followed by a sideboard holding three bottles of matze, two bottles of flin, two bottles of sujamma, a bottle of shein, a bottle of alto wine, and a copy of The House of Troubles, with a bottle of wine on the floor to the left of the sideboard. West of the sideboard is an open box containing five ash yams, followed by two owned single beds. Northwest of the beds at the end of the room is a set of shelves holding a bottle of flin, a bottle of matze, a bottle of sujamma, a complete set of bonemold armor including the helmet, gauntlets, boots, and cuirass, and copies of Confessions of a Dunmer Skooma Eater, The Red Year, Vol. I, Bone, Part I, and Bone, Part II.
