This is a list of the official add-ons, downloadable content created or officially endorsed by Bethesda Softworks for Skyrim. Five add-ons have been released for Skyrim, with two free add-ons exclusive to the PC version of the game. The Creation Club provides additional official content for Skyrim Special Edition, created by both Bethesda and external developers. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will feature exclusive content that is unlocked in-game through the use of amiibo.
Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn are included as part of the Legendary Edition compilation and Special Edition. Neither of the free add-ons, Fall of the Space Core, Vol 1 and the High Resolution Texture Pack, are available for Special Edition. The latter add-on is made redundant for this release however, as Special Edition uses high-resolution textures in place of the original assets.

In 2017 Bethesda launched the Creation Club, which provides official content add-ons for Skyrim Special Edition and other titles. Creation Club content is developed both internally by Bethesda Game Studios, and also in collaboration with external developers and selected community creators. All content can be acquired in exchange for credits, which must be purchased. Content offered by the Creation Club consists of weapons, apparel, new locations, abilities, characters, creatures, and gameplay enhancements.
Upcoming content for Skyrim previewed on the official Creation Club website includes a Survival Mode, the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal from Oblivion, the Staff of Sheogorath and Ruin's Edge artifacts from Shivering Isles, and a Dwarven Mudcrab companion.
Amiibo compatibility is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Tapping a compatible amiibo figure to the Joy-Con controller or Pro Controller will cause a treasure chest to appear in front of the player in-game with a unique The Legend of Zelda item inside, such as the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and Champion's Tunic.
Compatible amiibo include Link and Zelda figures from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild series, 30th Anniversary - The Legend of Zelda series, Super Smash Bros. series, and The Legend of Zelda series. The items that can be obtained by tapping amiibo are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of Skyrim.
